The hygienist seem to think my son didn't have any cavities. However, I found out a few minutes later that wasn't the case. The dental assistant didn't seem to care that I am a dental assistant by trade. When I told her that I wanted amalgam fillings in the back teeth and I wanted to wait on three of the fillings. She told me that most likely the cavities were deep and they should be done. Mind you, most likely they didn't show up on the x-ray, other wise the hygienist would have seen it. The dental assistant didn't seem to care that I have dental knowledge. I feel they were trying to sell work on stuff that could be watched for six months. We will not be going there to get the work done. I am going to find a dental office with the same philosophy as me..

I have very sensitive teeth, which both the hygenist and dr. are aware of, and they make sure that they do everything possible to keep me comfortable whenever they work on my teeth - from cleaning them to filling them. They are knowledgeable, and keep good track of the various issues I have. I do not feel that they do work unnecessarily, but only when it gets to the point where it must be done to prevent additional problems. I am very pleased with every aspect of their practice, and would highly recommend them.

Having said that, I can also say medically they are also top notch which is really one of the rmost important parts of choosing a dental office. You don't have to worry about that here. I have seen both Dr. Lim and Dr. G, and both are excellent doctors. The staff is also fabulous from the front desk (very friendly!) to the nurses that are so caring and gentle as much as the doctors are. Julie is my hygienist and she is very gentle and thorough. I have to go three times a year due to my teeth and letting my fears keep me from visiting a dentist for 10 years so I see her a lot! Trust me! You do not want to do that. Very thorough in both the dental and payment information, as well as with my cleaning, X-rays, and exams. I was there for close to 2 hours because I was actively included in seeing the results of my X-rays, learning about my dental issues and how to take care of them, and just talking to the staff (Shelby is the sweetest and most welcoming dental hygienist/maybe person I've come across) and Dr. Cohen (brief, but a very nice experience). For having been put on the back burner for 2 years, my teeth have never looked or felt better. They answered every single one of my questions with care and patience & I am so happy I found them. Some nice additional perks: TVs in the rooms (and on the ceiling for when you're lying flat in the chair!), free coffee and water in the waiting room, digitized paperwork (they take you to a separate room to fill it all out on a computer versus flipping through lots of papers), and affordable payment options if you don't have insurance (just ask the front desk!) Will happily be returning for my follow up in a few weeks.

They are thorough and kind and cater to cowards, but I have never felt more deceived. I had been complaining of sensitivity for long periods of time, and was told there was general discoloration on my fillings. A cracked filling was evident, and I was told that it was just some discoloration again. I see another dentist soon after and I find out there is visible tooth decay in multiple places caught with the naked eye and on the x-ray. Cavities that were not correctly identified may have caused the need for a future root canal. Sensitivity laser treatment was recommended time and time again, which I even considered despite the cost. If I had stayed longer, I would be out hundreds of dollars with no relief and implants needed most likely.

This is MY dentist regardless of whether they take our current insurance or not. The office also has an office plan which we have used during time periods where we cannot get insurance that includes their office. So grateful such an amazing denist is so conveniently located to us!

Her reply: "Are we over-thinking?" I should have just walked out then. The utter nicey/disrespect stuff is not professional. My neck/shoulders are stiffing at some point. My hand will twitch/tremor if my blood pressure goes up. Overrides the medication I'm on. I'm sitting with that comment the entire appointment. Again. I should have walked out. She keeps trying to calm me, like I have anxiety. That's not the emotion I had. Gets to asking me what shade I want the crown to be at. Seriously, just match it to the partial. Lighting, my eyes, whatever. I'm also still. Twitching. Biting down on something for 5 minutes. Cannot talk. Pick the shade. Match the partial. Neck is not feeling well either. Again, prior accident/I'm pissed. They just wouldn't accept my shade of white answer. I even tell them why. They provide mirror. I'm done. I want out. I get to the desk to schedule the needed follow up. Instead choose to finish that part once I'm out in my car. I do pressure point on my neck. Office informs me that dentist will only have Tuesday hours. The one day I work... A full, ten-hour day. On the shaky hours I have. With not enough money. You owe that to your perspective patient. To tell them, you'll have limited hours coming up. I WOULDN'T HAVE SELECTED YOU THEN TO BEGIN WITH. Only two times available were 10am or 2pm. So, I lose half a day. Travel time, etc. I will not be using this practice after the crown goes in. And, if the filling fails.... I'll just pay my usual dentist out-of-pocket to pull it. Great tech. Fancy tv screens.
