The installer told me what they were installing was more expensive and would do a better job as a radiant barrier than the thin film I requested, but would not charge me extra for it. I found out later that this was not true. My electric usage (kWH) has not gone down at all as I expected. There is nothing I can do now since the barrier had to be installed prior to the metal panels being installed. They will not return my calls or emails. I would NOT recommend this company for any work. ****UPDATE**** - They showed up to install radiant barrier with a different crew. They are removing the metal panels and placing the barrier on the underlayment. Looks like they're making it good albeit over a month later.

I was amazed at the value they provide. Our job was small (thank goodness) yet he sent someone over even while they were so busy because of the hurricanes. THAT is customer service! He built the house and we moved in in early 2023, 20 months after signing our contract. James comes on strong but as the job progressed you could see that he was just ready to be done and did not seem to oversee his subcontractors. There was an issue with the custom exterior siding, which was around a $16,000 up-charge, that if we were not on site it would have become a real mess due to minimum on deck supervision of the siding crew. Luckily, we were able to stop the subcontractor and get it done right and when we did tell James we wanted our expensive siding done right he told us our job had become a "S___ Show". His exact words about our Dream House!! And that we were trying to "nickle and dime him". Very Unprofessional! Some of his subcontractors were good tradesmen and some of them were not.. We have already had to re-caulk both bathrooms. Additionally, we had a problem with the flooring and when we called James and told him this, he started yelling into the phone that it was somehow our fault then he hung up on us! Finally, after 6 months of trying to get James to fix our floor he sent us a check for $7600 and told us to have another contractor fix it! We hired James to build the house. His warranty clearly stated that any defects would be repaired by him. Now we have to bring in a 3rd party contractor to fix what his people messed up as James basically bowed out of his warranty responsibility by paying us off. Do we still even have a warranty on anything else?? At the end of the build James did not do a 'Punch Out' walk through. We are still correcting problems. All the switch and plug covers were crooked. Most of the cabinet doors were loose and in need of proper adjustment. The tub still even had the stickers on it! The interior trim is a mess because James did it himself instead of hiring a proper Trim Carpenter. We paid James every single Draw right on time. We did not complain about a couple of things that the contract price increased on because we understand that stuff happens. At the time of final payment what we got from Pro Craft Builders was "OK, so we're done, right?" Not a 'Thank You'. Not an 'Enjoy your new home'. Just "We're done, right?" The house seems sound and functional. Time will tell. We like looking at it and living in it. Did Pro Craft build us a good house? Again, time will tell. Would we hire him again...Probably not. Would we recommend him to anyone....Probably not.

They will require a deposit of 25% the day of their free consult and make sure you cannot get any refund by requiring a cancelation in writing within 3 days after acquiring the contract and deposit without giving you a copy of the contract or telling you you will lose the entire deposit until later through an email. The post office will not even deliver that letter within 3 days! They even have a clause in this contract saying if they incur any attorney expenses that you will have to pay their expense for their attorney! I would think that with so many complaints online and with the BBB that their license agency would take notice and force them to change their bad business practices or close them down. I believe the good reviews about them online are written by them by request, they are unbelievably perfect and suspiciously untrue. Maybe we all should contact Action nine and file a complaint!
