I'm so fortunate to have found her. She has been my doctor of choice for many, many years. If for some reason she's not available, which is rare, she has Nurse Practitioners such as Beth Christianson and Sarah Gurney who are also great. Even her receptionist is so helpful and accommodating. I'm fortunate to have such a wonderful group professionals to turn to if I'm having a medical issue.

Of the many things this could possibly be, I asked her if she had seen , in my chart, that I had a long history of drug reactions. I asked her because this pain fit the situations, I had previously experienced with some drugs and she had just started me on a new one when this pain began. She was very defensive that I would ask a question regarding her treatment of my condition. In my chart there is a list of drugs I am unable to take. She suggested I find find a another Dr. This is MY BODY & MY LIFE & I need to ask questions & be involved in possible treatments. She did not want to interact with me regarding any treatment.

She offered me 2 meds gabapentin and lyrica; I'm allergic to both. Asked abt pt, she denied me. She was acting all sketchy and hiding her paperwork from me. (Weird) She told me there was nothing she could do for me. I left, still in pain. Called my Neurosurgeon in Chicago, they couldn't believe I wasn't even offered steriods. Called this osf office back twice to ask them to talk to my neuro for some pt for me. I called the next day and again 2 days later, no one has called me back and it's the weekend and they are closed while I'm still in pain with no treatment of any sort. Don't go to osf. Don't see M. House. Find someone who knows their job as a doctor who is not prejudiced of pain patients.

This doctor I recommend if you are in the Rockford Illinois area or Loves Park area make sure you go and asks for her. She takes time and listen to her patients even on her off days she stills call and check on her patients. If you are sick she will go to Extreme measures to make sure that you are 200% healthy. She loves everybody regardless of race color religion or creed or sexual orientation she loves you like a human being. The staff is wonderful. Whatever the problem is don't hesitate talk to her she will listen to you and she will find a solution to your problem. She will go to the extra mile to make sure that her work is complete. Unfortunately, the doctor retention level seems very low. Oak Street Health's biggest problem is its lack of communication and follow up. I generally have to make several phone calls to resolve simple issues like paperwork to authorize a blood draw or a doctor's review of bloodwork done to make sure medication does not need to change. In addition, making an appointment at the office is practically impossible, and the response from the receptionist is always, "We'll call you to set up an appointment.". Unfortunately, The call never comes, and there is no way to contact the office directly. In fact, any time there is a problem or issue, you must call the Oak Street Health main phone number, and they will send messages to your provider. It is impossible to call he doctor's office directly. After all of the phone calls over the last year and a half, a change of doctors 3 times (Not by our choice), and much wasted time, we finally gave up with Oak Street Health. Oak Street Health seems like a healthcare chain that puts profits ahead of people.

He is the best primary care doctor and he has been my doctor for four years. He is very patient, knowledgeable, and willing to take the time to listen. Dr. Simon has proven to be an excellent diagnostician and immediate care provider as well. We are fortunate to have him back in Rockford.

To clarify my earlier review, he's a nice guy, but he mis-bills and over-charges on every visit…read more Annual Physical (which should have been covered by insurance) lasted under 5 minutes, but he asks me how I am, I say "fine" and then he charges me for an office consult... happens every visit. Impossible to reach him to discuss bill. His nurse forwards me to billing, who forward me to coding dept, who forward me back to doctor (who won't return calls.) One time I actually was hurt and needed to see him, I couldn't get an appointment for two weeks. I've since switched to Direct Primary care. It costs a bit more, but I can see a doctor when I need to, spend as much time with the doctor as I need, and they won't create inflated insurance claims and co-pays.
