If you need to kill time there's also a major mall across the parking lot. The District is attached to a restaurant (Roam). The restaurant has modern decor and is a fun environment. I wouldn't sing praises for the food, but it's a solid option when catching a show. The District is basically a mid size open box building with a stage at the front. We were on the rail so we could see perfectly. I have no complaint about acoustics within the building. There's a "U" shaped balcony above the concert floor. If you're on the balcony rail you would be able to see the show with no difficulty at all. My guess is the venue comfortable capacity is about 1,000 people. We only had water during our show, but I was incredibly impressed that a bottle of water only cost $2. I've been to similar venues in Milwaukee and Chicago and generally pay upwards of $5 just for a water. All in all The District is a nice midsize event venue Sioux Falls should be proud to call their own.

The music was very enjoyable and the food was delicious. We sampled a variety of items including bruschetta, pizza (the one with hot honey was amazing but definitely had some kick!), sea scallop risotto and the rigatoni. Everything was great! worst event i've ever been to. first of all the event offered absolutely no food options but cold…read morecorn dogs and gross dried out hamburgers. no option for anything for someone with allergies or who can't eat food like that and had very few options. everything was SUPERR overpriced my bf and i bought a corn dog and chicken fingers and it was $100. second, the beer stand, they only had two. the entire place was packed probably with close to 50 thousand people and only had 2 bars open. took 2 hours to spend crazy prices yet again. they only had about 50 bathroom for the whole place which is CRAZY when they won't let you leave the venue. took us an hour and a half just to use the bathroom everytime we wanted to go. absolutely would not recommend this place until they either let you leave the venue or accommodate to the amount of people they have and the budget a little better.
