Specifically, the lawyer representing me as a seller of real estate failed to keep me apprised of incoming communications from the buyer's attorney; they failed to inform me of changes to the existing contract; and failed to discuss options available resulting from the changes to the contract. In short, the sales contract had four terms and none were enforced by my lawyer and it cost 10% of the net proceeds from the sale, extended the time frame for the sale by a month, and caused a great deal of unnecessary stress. I had a very disappointing experience working with this law office during my home buying process…read more Unfortunately, the level of service did not meet the standard I expect from an attorney representing a client in a real estate transaction. Communication was consistently slow. Emails often took far too long to receive responses, and throughout the process it felt like things were moving at their pace rather than with any urgency on my behalf. As a client, that left me feeling uncomfortable and unsupported during an already stressful process. Ultimately, the transaction did not move forward, and when it came time to address the return of my security deposit, I was especially disappointed. I did not feel that the firm advocated for me at all. I was essentially told to pursue the matter in small claims court and informed that no further assistance would be provided unless I paid additional fees. At that point, it felt less like legal representation and more like I was on my own. Overall, I did not feel represented, protected, or prioritized. Between the lack of timely communication, the slow handling of matters, and the absence of advocacy when it mattered most, I cannot recommend this firm. I will not be working with them again.
