I called and emailed several local movers, and almost everybody had an hourly rate with a two-hour minimum that pushed cost up above $300, which is ridiculous for such a quick and easy job. Only two of the movers in-town were willing to look at this as an ala carte task, and Certified Moving Service reached out first via the Yelp feature that allows you to field quotes from multiple vendors. They quoted $120 and two of their guys were at my door in less than an hour. Super easy transaction that allowed payment via zelle. While it still seems like a lot of money for a fifteen-minute project, $120 was a small price to pay for not breaking my back trying to move it myself. And I didn't get charged any kind of last-minute, expedited upcharge.

And the item only weighs about 5 pounds, but cost about $150 when I purchased it last year. I even offered to take just $50 but he refused. And this is after I paid him $950 for a move and tipped him and his workers each $100. Then today I found some other damage to some furniture. It's not major, but I'm still disappointed that it happened. Anyway, like I said, I'd look elsewhere for a mover.

From Wisconsin to Texas they got it done very fast and very affordable. There was an issue with a latch on the tow truck so the driver needed to get that fixed and left a day later. which they compensated me for the inconvenience and I decided to ship my other vehicle that next week. Upon receipt of my vehicle they knew nothing about the deposit I paid and charged me the full amount. I tried numerous times to call Bethany and even sent numerous text messages and to this date there has been no response at all and this has been since 4/1. So basically I'm out 200.00. They told me they were a local company that did all the transport but they apparently contract it out. The driver that arrived with my vehicle was very nice and I spoke with his boss but this was not their fault that I was given wrong information. And again absolutely no response at all. Just be careful as this was just my experience.

He gave me a fair, straightforward quote, and the final price matched exactly. No surprises, which I truly appreciated. Ryan and Tommy were outstanding. They worked nonstop the entire time and handled everything with care. They wrapped and protected all items--furniture, appliances, and fragile pieces--and were extremely respectful of both the home and the situation. You can tell they take real pride in their work. This was also an emotional move, as my mom recently passed away and we were preparing her home for sale. Ryan and Tommy were incredibly kind and empathetic throughout, which made a difficult day much easier. They also offer junk removal services, which is a great added service.
