These guys make an excellent team and took away a lot of my stress. UPDATE 10 minutes later: The total I was given at time of exit was almost $200 (short) off, apparently. :-/ Shortly after leaving, I get a phone call saying there's a glitch in the system and I didn't get the right total, even though I confirmed with the men multiple times prior to departure and payment. They were still very competent and kind men/movers, but the glitch in the system seems nefarious and I'm left feeling like the company is at fault and it's designed that way intentionally.... Was going to hire them again soon, but sadly not now. Unfortunately, I have to change my 5 star rating due to a company error...that sounds incredibly fishy. Fortunately, I tipped the young men in cash. Although, my intuition tells me they told me the lower total to get the higher tip. Have a great day! Happy moving.

Avoid College Hunks at All Costs - Unreliable, Unprofessional, and Shockingly Rude…read more I'm writing this after what should have been a simple junk removal job turned into a complete disaster, thanks to the staggering unprofessionalism of College Hunks. I had previously used them twice for my business and was thrilled with the service--so much so that I tipped generously both times. Based on that, I trusted them with a much larger job at my home: removing a truckload of old furniture in preparation for professional cleaners the next day and a major furniture delivery Saturday. Because of the tight timeline, I paid more to use them again, confident they'd show up and get the job done. I confirmed the correct home address and personal phone number with them twice to avoid any confusion with my business location. They gave me a 1:30-3:30 PM window and promised a 30-minute heads-up call beforehand. At 3:20 PM, having heard nothing, I called the 888 number. I was told the job had been canceled because they couldn't reach me--at my business number. Despite having corrected this repeatedly, they called the wrong number, asked for me, and then didn't even leave a message. When I asked for a later slot that day, I was told they could try for 4-6 PM. Problem solved, I thought. Then came the worst customer service interaction I've had in years. About 30 minutes later, I got a call from a woman who was rude from the moment I picked up. She cut me off constantly, raised her voice, and bizarrely accused me of not answering the door when her team supposedly showed up--something that never happened. There was no knock, no doorbell, no missed call. When I calmly asked to speak with a manager, she yelled over me and then hung up on me. I called the corporate line, thinking they might want to know how poorly their brand was being represented. They were sympathetic, but ultimately told me they had no authority over local franchises. In other words: I was out of luck. Now, I have to cancel my other scheduled services and start the process over with a company I can actually count on. Bottom Line: Do not do business with College Hunks. They may have good teams in some places, but the complete lack of accountability, the combative customer service, and the inability to fix even the most basic mistakes made this a stressful, expensive ordeal. Every time they answered the phone with, "How can we help you have a stress-free day?" I nearly laughed. This was anything but.

Buyer Beware - Get Everything in Writing…read more I strongly recommend getting multiple quotes before hiring this company. Based on my experience I would not hire them again for any job. EVER !! If you consider using them get a detailed written estimate upfront that clearly outlines the full job scope and exactly what they are hired to do. Additional charges were added later for items like paint buckets and tires which were not disclosed during the initial walkthrough or estimate discussion. If you hire them ask for everything in writing--pricing disposal & scope--before any work begins. Thankfully I recorded a video walkthrough of the home with Tibor and saved the audio which helped document what was discussed. Also while I was at the property Tibor showed up unannounced to use our dumpster to dump trash from another job. The audio was recorded on my cars camera. Instead of addressing the concerns raised, he attempts to discredit the reviewer shifts blame and minimizes responsibility. The response includes gaslighting language by denying involvement rewriting events and implying fault lies with others while also making personal and demeaning remarks. Overall the reply escalates the situation rather than resolving it and reflects poor communication and conflict handling practices.

They were very responsive and I could tell they were not trying to hit you over the head with hidden fees or additional costs like some of the other companies. Everything they quoted was a set price with no fluctuations. We booked everything a few months in advance to be proactive but Leury and his team made sure to check in with us before moving day. He came by and did a walk through of our 3 bed/2 story home to make sure he and his team had what they needed. The only thing I wasn't expecting was to pay for the blankets used for wrapping, but I take responsibility for that as Leury was not aware that our belongings would be staying in storage, and did not want to remove the blankets so our stuff wouldn't be damaged. I appreciated the thoughtfulness and had no issues paying the extra for that. The guys that arrived to pack our stuff were so nice. We had about 3 guys show up and they did their thing. They made sure to point out any of our furniture that had previous dings or cracks and took pictures for reference. They were super quick and efficient and wrapped our fragile and heavy furniture. We did the packing ourselves and only hired them to move so we appreciated them wrapping things as part of their service. After they were done we were given an estimated time of arrival for our items and as always, they stayed in communication with us along the way. They gave us daily updates of where our load was on the journey. We had someone else be there for when our load arrived and they let us know everything went smoothly! I love how thorough the whole Eco Movers team was. I always felt like my things were safe and taken care of. We also had 2 Jeeps that needed transporting and Leury and his team recommended us to their partner Mark who was equally honest and reliable. They also quoted us fixed quotes without any hidden fees, and stayed in constant communication with us. We met our driver (Enrique) across the street from our neighborhood to drop off our cars. I would note that they need space to unload some cars to put yours on, so meeting them in a more feasible location may be a thing. Thankfully we had a big lot across from our neighborhood so we just walked back after our cars were dropped off. The company used was Onway Logistics. I appreciated them providing a tracking link so you can track your cars along the way. They arrived a day before schedule and we also had someone pick the cars up for us and everything went smoothly. Overall we paid about $11.5k for the whole move. The cars were $1850 a piece and the household move came in around $7800. Again, we had quotes higher and lower than Eco Movers but felt more comfortable paying a bit more for quality service. We highly recommend Eco Movers if it's in your budget, and will keep recommending them to anyone who asks! Huge shout out to Elsa for staying in constant communication with us and being such a pleasure to work with on Leury's team. And a huge shout out to our handy movers Hunter, Jonathan, and Lee for loading our things and having fun while doing it! And Enrique for getting our vehicles there safely!
