BUYER BEWARE!!! I recently ordered the Good Morning Journaling Course and was VERY DISAPPOINTED to find out that the videos included are nothing like those I've watched from them in the past. There are no step by step verbal instructions throughout the video, no speaking in the videos at all. If I'd understood this before purchasing I would not have purchased this product. I emailed to let them know I'd only watched one video and these were not what I expected and they responded that they're unable to offer any sort of a refund and offered no other remedy other than telling me to keep trying I might find I enjoy it. I don't enjoy it, now that I know what it is. I tried one, I know I don't enjoy it, not at all, I hated it. I don't want to try it again, I'd like a refund. You should make money off customers that do enjoy it not off those that you mislead. I had no idea a "process video" was DIFFERENT THAN ALL THE OTHER VIDEOS I've watched from Let's Make Art over the past number of years. $100 wasted. Super disappointed with this product and even more disappointed with their customer service response. So many other ways to deal with a situation like this and keep your customer happy. Be absolutely certain you understand what you're getting and it's what you want before you order from this company or just go find some other company to support as from my perspective this company is unfortunately no longer one worth supporting. read more

Check out the tutorials on YouTube or the Facebook page for artists to post their attempts. This is a positive and encouraging group of people simply enjoying the weekly 39 minute art projects. I have a problem with their shipping process. Once you order, it take them at least 7-10 to ship and another five days to get your items. When a customer checks out, their shipping said 5-8. Which is false because they don't take into account the delay in getting your shipment ready. I have no idea why they continue to use this kind of shipping but its very frustrating when you have order and need your supplies. One reason I go through Amazon. I will not be purchasing from them again. i will also say, with the majority, that they honestly don't not care about their bad reviews, because no one has reach out. Business like these should lie to their customers about shipping process duration. FedEx is the worst in moving their shipment along! URGH! read more

Let's make Art has changed my life. During covid, I lost my job and apartment and having these weekly tutorials gave me a sense of well being and community. Each of the kits and painting sets allows you to go through each tutorial more than once. The paints are made in house and they also give out brushes that take over six months before you need to replace. I highly recommend if you're looking for a new hobby. read more

I love this company and the products they offer. I have never watercolor painted before, but I really wanted to try it out so I decided to use Let's Make Art due to their fantastic selection of kits. I decided to start easy with the flamingo and it came out great. All the instructions are fantastic and you have the freedom to put your own twist on it. This is one great company. They have the best subscription model with the staff and Sarah public face of LMA to back it up. Sarah the public face of LMA is great at video and you can see that she is excited about painting and teaching. The subscription plan offers a mix of easy and more involved projects each month. Watch the video and start painting. Get a group together and paint with friends and family. It's almost like having a celebrity guest peeking over your shoulder while you are painting! Do not fall for all their cutesy, cutesy delivery. They have significant business issues and all their "happy" emails on why they haven't returned your money for product not sent is bad business. Ordered the Lucky Charms kit thinking perfect for St Patrick's day Never arrived, though my credit card was charged immediately. Have emailed and gotten a few responses from Andrya. My review probably won't matter because it's obvious that this company has a cult formed around it and that their base think that everything they do is wonderful. It's possible that their products are unmatched in this and any other universe. I don't know this because I ordered from them to give a Christmas gift to my wife. What I do know is that they have no sense of urgency in getting packages to you for the holidays. Ten days after I ordered, I inquired about the shipment because I had heard nothing. The response was basically that it'll get here when it gets here because it takes them up to 10 "business days" to prepare something for shipment. I can only guess that they don't work weekends, because it was nearly two weeks after my order that I finally got shipping notification. This is the type of stuff you would have expected in 1977, not 2022. So despite ordering well in advance, I won't receive this package until after Christmas, forcing me to scramble to get something else for my wife in its place. Meanwhile, this company has a phony façade of cheeriness with their nauseating smiling and thumbs-up gifs in their email. How about a little less of that and a a little more elbow grease, eh? I hope that when I eventually give the stuff to my wife that she informs me that she isn't all that enamored with them, because nothing would give me greater pleasure than to not give this company so much as a single dime of my money ever again. Let me be clear. Mistakes happen, but they didn't convey so much as an iota of regret at their slowness. They let it be known that I should be grateful that they even let me purchase from them. I was so excited to order this product as a birthday gift. I have nothing against the product itself, but I am very dissatisfied with the poor/untimely customer service. My order was accidentally placed with delivery to an address that I no longer live at. The order was placed at 7:35 pm. There was no phone number listed anywhere to call, so I emailed customer service at 7:42 pm with a plea to change the shipping address and confirm the change. I did not receive a response until 10:36 am the next day saying that it would be looked into it. At 2:04 pm, I received the following: "Thank you for reaching out to us about this order! I've looked into this now, but I am seeing that this order has already been shipped. Unfortunately, we are unable to make changes to an order after the label has been created, but I apologize again for this. I've provided a link to our Returns Policy below in case you need to send any of these materials back. If you have any questions about this at all, please let me know." I had no easy way of getting back to a place I haven't lived at in 3 years, so I found this all very frustrating and unhelpful. read more

WAS a great company. Sadly their growth has led to poor serviceand poor customer service. They charged me for a box I cancelled 3 times. Customer service was sickly sweet as they repeatedly insisted it was my error despite documentation to the contrary. Wasn't happy with the experience. Their customer service couldn't resolve the issue they created (shipped to wrong address repeatedly) and canceled my subscription without notice. It's probably great for most people, I recommend that you try this if you're interested but just hope that you don't have issues like I had. Beware, poor customer service, extremely slow shipping. Customer service is cold and impersonal, with slow responses and a lack of care or concern. Don't expect much when contacting them. I ordered a one time art box for a Christmas present, just to realize more than a week passed and no shipping. When I contacted customer service a response came days later, explaining that subscription boxes only ship once a month and there was nothing they could do (which I did not order a subscription box). Nowhere on their website indicated that a one time box would ship only once a month either. Its now been 3 weeks since I ordered and my shipment still have not arrived. read more

I live in Arizona, and this place makes you feel like family. They have online tutorials for everything related to watercolor, lettering, and now art journaling. You'll find a real community feel in the facebook groups - like family. I've ordered several things individually from Let's Make Art online store. I'm also a subscriber to one of their subscription boxes. Everything gets a tracking number so you know exactly when your box of goodies will arrive. The subscription boxes are reasonably priced and I love that they send everything you need - which means you get to try out new and different supplies every month. I actually think they pride themselves in choosing high quality products and they definitely mix it up every month so that you aren't getting the same things if you're a subscriber. I had one small issue with something that I ordered and customer service handled it promptly and resolved the issue without any hassle. I'm not sure if I'll ever actually be in Hamilton, MO . . . but if I ever find myself there (likely to visit this place!), I'd definitely stop in to meet my family and paint something! If they had a retreat or something like that, I'd definitely be interested. read more

They are a great company. They have a great product. Their staff is friendly. But their ordering situation is unreliable. And their customer service does not reflect taking responsibility for site ordering that presents false expectations to the customer. I was willing to split the difference, but GREAT customer service would completely TAKE CARE of the customer's expectations without hesitation. I was disappointed in how they handled a confusing issue that THEIR SITE caused on a recent purchase of mine. They didn't even acknowledge how it misled me, and I think if Sarah Cray knew about the issue, she would have resolved it more professionally. I seriously don't feel like buying from them again. Really disappointed in their level of customer care, as I didn't feel my business with them matters. My rating would have been a 5 star before, but this left a bad feeling in me towards them. Is that really worth defending your intention as a company in your technical issues, to disregard what the customer's reality was?
