We…read morecalled multiple times to cancel service because we no longer needed it (we were not unhappy with the service at that time), but they never answered the phone, so, each time, we left voicemails asking to cancel. They kept coming! Today, their mower woke us up at 7am and we were surprised to see a large dog in the backyard peeing on everything. It was hard to believe that the landscaper had brought his dog along to do his 'business' in my yard, but we watched the pair continue on to the neighbor's house too. Since canceling by phone was not working, I decided to put a note on his windshield. As I approached the truck, he finished up the neighbor's yard and we met at the sidewalk. I politely asked the man if he always brought his dog with him. He said that he did and I replied that we did not appreciate this "extra service". At that point, he started flipping out, told me he would send a final bill, called his dog away from me saying to "leave that man alone; he is not a nice person". As I walked away, he was yelling about the timing of me canceling (after he had fertilized and sprayed), but the funny thing is that I never even got a chance to mention canceling; I had simply asked about the dog. He had decided to cancel me!! The last thing he said (yelled) was "You are the only one to have a problem with my dog." "No, I am just the only one who said anything about it", I clarified. I/we like dogs, but we also like professionalism. I have worked all kinds of jobs in my life and would NEVER think to bring my pet to a client's home...certainly not without first discussing it. Clearly, this man/these people just don't get customer service and professionalism. I tried to help by calmly explaining why people might not want a random dog in their backyard peeing all over everything, but he cut me off and I wasn't ever able to offer what I thought was helpful advice/constructive criticism. Too bad...
