My son has been taking dance here for 2 years. He does hip hop and Nick is a great dance teacher.

The kids drink water from their bottles all of class as they are thirsty. Other students had been allowed to go to the bathroom but her teacher would not allow her to go. Well, about 15 minutes later, my daughter started crying because she was in pain. The teacher yelled at her and called her a baby for crying and finally let her go. I texted and e-mailed the studio manager and owner several times. I received no response for several days. My daughter's dance contract said that she could not miss regardless or she was off the team. The next day she had to attend class with the same teacher for 2.5 hours. My daughter told me that the teacher had started hurting her. The teacher was grabbing my daughter's hands and wrists during class pretending that she was helping her dance and squeezing her very tightly. . . . I did not let my daughter return. I had to take her to the doctor twice and to urgent care once to have her arms and wrists looked at and to be treated for the bladder infection that was created because her teacher would not allow her to go the bathroom when she needed. The school breached the dance contract by not maintaining the safety of my daughter. The owner e-mailed that she would be returning the rest of my daughter's dance team payments to me after I said that I would not be sending her back. She never sent me anything.

CCNB Amphitheatre has great potential - once completed. We joined a full house of hearty Mumford &…read moreSons fans last night in the rain. Turns out you can only get so wet... Unfortunately, we arrived later than planned and had to park in a muddy lot quite a ways away. Don't dilly-dally and be too late or you'll suffer the same fate. Most available parking is on grass which presents quite an issue during monsoon season. Wear your Grundigs. The amphitheater has a huge selection of food offerings only to be matched by the THC/Liquor/Beer stands. There are two permanent restrooms and a host of Porta-John's with no lines. A good sign that either there are ample facilities or on a rainy night people just peed in their pants. Could be a combination of the two. The people working the show were very nice, but seemed to be quite confused about whether or not chairs were allowed or really anything about the venue. This is most likely due to everything being so new and will most likely improve with practice. Sight lines to the stage are decent. The slope is fairly mild so seeing over the people in front of you can be an issue. I was very impressed by the quality of the sound. Excellent! All in all CCNB Amphitheatre is a good place to see an outdoor concert and will only get better as they finish it up.

I'm surprised by the low ratings for the CCNB Amphitheatre! We attended the Spiritbox, Papa Roach,…read moreand Shinedown concerts here in September 2023 and had a good experience. This is an all-outdoor venue, so dress appropriately, but our weather was gorgeous. Parking was easy and free. We arrived early, which was smart because the venue is off a two-lane road and latecomers had to park further away and walk. If you're early and get a spot in the parking lot close to the venue instead of the overflow lot, the walk isn't bad at all. The concert didn't allow folks to bring in chairs, so we purchased tickets with seats. Outdoor folding chairs were available for rent, but I didn't see a single rented chair on the lawn, so I guess the price was not right. Policies differ from show to show but are spelled out on the website, so do your research and buy tickets accordingly. CCNB Amphitheatre has buildings with bathrooms, portalets, and fancy trailers with potties. The food and beverage choices are good, with mostly "fair foods" and typical concert beers, wines, and frozen cocktails. Don't expect anything fancy, but do expect to pay concert prices because beer and food aren't cheap at any event. Our show was a lot of fun, but we left a little early to beat the traffic. I would hate to see the crowd to leave, especially with a two-lane road. I feel like the area's infrastructure is still "catching up" with this venue, but I would return for a concert.

Getting one's poise, balance, developing bodily musculature, grace, coordination, social skills,…read moreefficiency in motion, and building self-confidence has been the benefits of dance besides its contribution to exercise, fitness, and health. I started out early in my young life when my mother who was an Education and Dance Teacher enrolled me in ballet and hula dance classes at an early age of five. Dance has been my athleticism, sensuality, strength, speed, poise, passion, and grace. In whatever city I live in, I seek a place to dance in. While in the beautiful, smoky and misty-like mountainous region of the Carolinas, I have found the perfect place to expand my dance instructions as well as continue on these beloved artistic side of mine. A short drive up a slightly steep driveway, this large dance venue "Asheville Ballroom & Dance Centre" was built atop a small hill and owned by the local Iwanna newspaper owner and a ballroom dance enthusiast Kathy Corn. Opened in October 2001. Parking space is ample on a private lot. A glass door leads you into a hallway where the dance office is to your right and the dance hall is to your left. Spot a life-size Marilyn Monroe on one of the corner, also the Blues Brothers, and an autographed photograph of Engelbert Humperdinck. Chairs and tables are situated on one side of this massive room. In a most spacious, wide, high-ceilinged, large room of 6000 square foot of floating hardwood dance floor and walls with mirrors which reflects me twirling, spinning, practicing to ballroom dance steps, sequences, lessons, and routines, I continued my never-dying passion for dance with well-trained, patient, professional dance instructors and amiable fellow dance friends and students. Classes range from inexperienced or the beginner, new or old students, to experienced dancers of all age ranges from the youngest to the most mature of us. All ballroom dance styles are offered. It is not necessary to have a partner for the partner dancing since all students in a class rotationally gets partnered in the course of the hourly lesson. As it is in life, there is a time when more females are present, one need not fret, as some of the students can dance as a "male lead". It is best to come in fifteen minutes early to a class, to warm up the body and to strap on those special favorite ballroom dance shoes. Ballroom dance shoes can be ordered from catalog available and from the suppliers who at times do a shoe trunk show and even at times delivers the ordered shoes. Great service by Showtime Dance Shoes from Georgia who have delivered them to me at this venue for the three times I have ordered my dance shoes. To even get a better immersion in the style of dance which a group class has its limitations of a one-on-one instruction, private lessons with the dance instructor is also available. There's the practice dance parties, the Friday evening and the Saturday evening dance parties, the Country dance parties and the occasional holiday dance parties are a blast with men and ladies all dressed up in their finest dancing outfits. Cost is $10 which includes light snacks and soda. Men in jackets and women in dresses and of course, dance shoes! As an avid dancer, I have witnessed and attended several events of Dancesport Showdances & Competitions by Professional World Dancesport Performers and athletes held in this venue. Yes, I have gained wonderful dance friends. Ballroom dancing is not just for social dancing and where ladies are ladies and men are gentlemen, it is likewise known as Dancesport for the competitive and more skilled dancer and so, I have developed my competitive style and skill in this dance studio. I will always remember the fantastic, elegant atmosphere and the fabulous dance parties held at this venue, always good and fun times, a great place for dancing and events. Because of its expansive space, it has been sought after for events and social gatherings like weddings, social, corporate events, and family affairs. Practice! Practice! Let's dance and party!!
