Wanted to take the time to write a kind review towards this ballet school…read more The lead teacher Val has decades of experience as a performer and trained in Russia at one of their art schools and also did 8 years of university study. He's very knowledgeable about ballet history which has been really insightful to learn about. He's someone who is really passionate about ballet and it's heritage and getting new people excited about dance. The style is very classical ballet and traditionally Russian with strong roots to origins of ballet. As teacher, he's noticeably thoughtful about each member of the class and adjusting his teaching to the students there each day. It's very nice to see such attentive teaching as a dancer. Even though I've had a lot training, I feel I'm learning and improving and gotten great opportunities at this studio. Val can be strict at times, but is also very warm-hearted and wants to help everyone improve their skills. He thoughtfully makes parts for everyone in the shows and starts the next show season by having people fill about their desired type of roles and keeps stock of that. I hope more people will come dance at this unique studio. It's smaller, but gives a lot of opportunities for getting personalized attention in being taught or private lessons. I'm really enjoying taking classes here and the chill vibes.

My daughter was very lucky to have been accepted into Erica and Carlos' Pre-Professional Ballet…read moreTraining program. It was a very rigorous and detail oriented program, incorporating many dance forms. Erica and Carlos had high expectations of their students and due to the individual attention that each student received, the progress was phenomenal. This was evident during the many Showcases throughout the year covering a very extensive repertoire. Spartanburg is truly fortunate to have two ex-Boston Ballet Principal Dancers on their doorstep. Not only are they the top in their league and excellent teachers, they are extremely kind and caring people wanting to share their love of dance and the arts with all who want to take part.

Every time I took Erica's class, I can feel her positive vibe. She did every demo throughly, every student, from very basic beginner level to very advance pre-professional one , will learn from her. She is very patient to correct your posture, and knows exactly those common mistakes students usually will make. For adult students like me, ballet is very good and important exercise for mind and body, and taking class in Integrarte is always a good experience.

If you have never tried a pole class, there are several non-pole classes that I would highly recommend attending. The best value is the unlimited membership, which allows all the classes to be taken. That is what I did. Imagine your new zen happy place. It's amazing!

We showed up armed with boas and crowns that were great for the pictures we took afterward but not so good for dancing. This academy is legit. Jax was our instructor and was very professional even though the group was nervous and silly. But with her instruction we gave it our best shot, ending up with a short dance designed for beginners. The studio caters to serious dancers who are there for fitness, but they made us feel comfortable and we had so much fun. The studio was clean, including the bathrooms. I booked a one hour private session and it was worth every penny for the lasting memories we have. We may be back for the 80th!

Very organized, easy to make monthly payments through their parent portal. The staff is super nice and very professional. Their prices are very reasonable and the owner Melanie is the nicest person you will ever meet. They have cameras inside each of the studios so you can watch on a TV screen in the waiting area. The building is very nice and located in a great part of Greenville. I highly recommend this place for parents who's children want a great experience and get a great knowledge of dance.

Amy, Kim, and all of the other teachers are not only incredibly skilled, but also genuinely caring and thoughtful. They take the time to really get to know each student- understanding their individual strengths and helping them grow both as dancers and as young people. The atmosphere is warm and encouraging, never high-pressure. It's clear that the focus is not just on excellent technique, which they absolutely provide, but also on building character, confidence, and poise. Our daughter has gained so much more than just dance training here- she has developed lifelong values and a deep love for the art form. We couldn't be more grateful for Amy and her dedication (and heart!) that her studio pours into every student. We highly recommend!!

What an absolute disgrace the "new" Cornerstone Ballet in Simpsonville is…read more Yesterday, while the studio is "closed" for Christmas break we received a billing statement. They had the nerve to bill us for recital fees twice for $125 (not including show tickets) that were already paid according to their billing statement. The fee includes costume and venue RENTAL! Next, they overcharged us - almost doubled the payment - every single month since the start of the year. We caught it, and their bill stated we still owed $125. We contacted the owner about this and another concern, the age of the dancers in the class. After "observation week" last Thursday we questioned the owner Amy at the time of the billing issues why the "6-8 experienced ballet class" only had two students this age (the others looked about 4 and were definitely below six, even wearing different colored leotards to represent their "age per the website dress code). We were denied a phone call to discuss this and other billing questions. The "refunded" money from the overcharge wasn't even directly refunded to our bank account! They actually "credited" the dance account and kept all the extra money for themselves - in advance). Despite all of the errors and dishonesty, we were told by the owner Amy over text to speak to her employee when they return after break. We explained how disappointed we are (over text) in response to the owner, and that we deserve a simple phone call. We also asked for an updated invoice before the end of the break so we could confirm the financials were correct. Today we received a passive aggressive email stating that the students were at least six years old (we have video of the students who are clearly 4 years old wearing the light blue uniform for students ages 4-5) and Amy, the owner, kicked my daughter out VIA EMAIL ! She cited we are not a good "fit." Yup, an eight year old was kicked out because they were unwilling to have a simple conversation "over break" and resolve the matter. But, they didn't mind taking all of our money and billing us .... over break. Absolutely terrible. https://www.cornerstoneballetsc.com
