Firstly I dont think this place deserves any star at all.. I have to click on a 1star to be able to write a review about this place... after searching for a review about this place on googles, its turned out it is more NEGATIVE feedback than POSITIVE... Sadly it is what i were experienced about this place same as other ppl that has experienced it... The guy behind the counter where the baking oven must be the owner of this place "LET THEM EAT CAKES" are a Rude, Aggressive, Unfriendly, Bad Attitude, No Customer Orientated person... I wondered how he could run the business like this in a busy South Mel Market area...
On a Beautiful Sunday i took my children out to South Mel Market for a beautiful bfast, while driving in the area i saw this place "LET THEM EAT CAKES" I told the kids that i will take them there to check out the cakes and get them desert after bfast, kids got excited n were looking forward to the cakes...when we stepped insde the store was quiet, i were impressed with the cakes displayed...there was a beautiful sugar flowers displayed in the corner near the window, i must say that very beautiful, creatived, the flowers was looks like orchid flowers that made from silk... my son 12yrs old was just about to feel the flower, as i were looking at other cake like their ginger bread man, at the same time there were 2customers just stepped into their shop .. I heard this loud n agressive voice from the kitchen "HEYYYY... DON'T TOUCHHHHHH" that shocked me, its was shock and scared to my children... i turned around to him and said "sorry" then i asked my children to leave the shop... i thought to myself, what an aggressive man and nasty that was??? Kids are curious in what they see, kids are learn from reading, touching, feeling etc... if he has a little sign printed "DO NOT TOUCH" on the stand, I'm sure any 12yrs old kids would have understood and not touch the flowers... im sure as a human being n curiousity anyone of us would do the same thing, we would touch or feel to see is it real or fake, what does it made of!!! This man has no shame of how he treated customers and his own business... He scared the couple walked in earlier, they then walked out...Since I walked out i told my children we will never go back to that place again... and i have told all my friends about the inccedent i have experienced at this place "LET THEM EAT CAKES".
We walk to "BIBELOT" a beautiful patisserie shop on conventry street, I think it own by "Dre Chez'"... this cakes shop is to die for.. their cakes not just looking great, but taste Devine as well...atleast we felt very welcome, the staff are very polite and have something called "Friendly Customer's Service"... my children love the cake here and they have asked me to take them back to Bibelot after less than 2weeks... read more
