In the spirit of full transparency, I wanted not to like Let's Waffle. When I saw the prices, I thought there was no way I was going to spend that kind of money on waffles. After all, it's basically just flour and water, I told myself. However, the moment I stepped into the restaurant, my entire thought process changed. We were greeted at the door by the owner, whose warm smile set the tone for the experience. A quick glance at the menu was enough to make me realize--this was going to be good. We decided to try one sweet waffle and one savory waffle to get a bit of variety. The sweet waffle was topped with Nutella, bananas, and chocolate chips. The balance and ratio of ingredients were fantastic. Even on its own, the waffle had a wonderful flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. For our savory choice, we went with the breakfast waffle and opted to add all the meats: Little Smokies, ham, and bacon. I was initially hesitant about the Little Smokies, but they quickly proved to be the right call. It was surprisingly tasty! I would have preferred if the ham had been diced, and not slices of deli cold cuts, but that's a minor complaint, if you can even call it that...more like a personal preference and wouldn't keep me from ordering the same thing again next time! The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly, and the space is clean and well maintained. The "Chicken Love" waffle includes lettuce, Caesar dressing, cheese, breaded chicken, and a drizzle of garlic sauce. A great savory option! For a more classic, sweet option, you can't go wrong with the "Banana Love" waffle - filled with Nutella, chocolate chips, banana slices, and topped with a dusting of powdered sugar.
