For the second time, Lester's Body Shop did a quality repair for me for a fraction of what I know it would have cost elsewhere. I simply could not recommend Lester's more highly. This shop had my car for over 6 weeks, from Nov 1st to Dec. 16th. Made promises 6 different times of when I could pick up my car. When I finally went to the shop to pick up my car, the owner totally lost it when I complained about how long the repairs took. For some strange reason he asked me where I was from. When I told him I grew up in New Orleans but have been living in Covington for over 45 years, he that figures, and my president is the cause for him not being able to get parts sooner. There so many off the wall comments he yelled at me that it seems he has a problem. At one point he threaten to beat my ass. I think when this Lester took over the from his father Lester the shop is going to continue to loose business. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER SEEN!! Also, the WORST PAINT JOB I'VE EVER SEEN FROM A BUSINESS!! Long story short; my father brought his dream truck to Lester's Body Shop for a paint job and, they did a hurried up job!! Kept the vehicle for over 2 months!! This vehicle was in really good shape. Should have been done in a month, tops! Finally, father gets call to come pick up vehicle. Upon arriving, father finds mistakes and asks for mistakes to be fixed. Gets another call to pick up vehicle, and finds a scratch. Father is getting annoyed. Father works in New Orleans and must come after work at night. This is important because he can't really see what is really happening,work wise. Father gets call to come get vehicle. Picks up vehicle and brings home. Pays nearly 5 grand for "work." Turns on light to admire his beautiful vehicle... sees how bad it is and calls me for a second opinion. They did a HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE JOB!!!! Didn't paint entire areas, didn't use correct primer, didn't sand anything correctly, left pin holes everywhere, left original paint, poor taping, and the list goes on, and on!! Forgot to mention that my father is 72 years old, with a business degree from Ole Miss. He made a list for them to follow prior to signing contract. Brought them 2 copies!! They didn't follow it!! I tell father to bring it back to Lester's and I will ride over with you the next day. We did, and boy what a surprise!! Lester senior and Lester Jr. Meet me and my father in the parking lot. My father begins to explain why we are there, and we begin to show them the MANY FAULTS WITH SAID "PAINT JOB." Then they both become vulgar and start cursing both of us. I was asked who the f I was, and told to leave. Yeah right, I'm going to leave my 72 year old father with these hot heads?! Lol. They wouldn't conversate like adults!! Want a poor paint job that will peel off in less than a year? Then this is the place for you! I brought my car to be painted by them, and within 8 months I had large blotches of clear coat missing from my hood and bumper, along with numerous bubbles in the paint and pinstripes that didn't match the originals on the other quarter panel. I brought it back to have them redo the paint job, only to yet again have blotches of paint missing with bubbles throughout numerous places on the hood and bumper, with paint chipping off of my quarter panel. Each time I brought it in, they told me it would be a week, and ran over both times to nearly two weeks for the car to just be painted. Avoid at all costs, pay a little more somewhere else and be assured that they'll take care of your car better than Lester's. read more

Terrible Terrible Terrible. Customer Service thrown out the window, got in a moderate accident in my truck and requested that it be worked on at Lesters Body Shop since they were local. BAD IDEA. I took off of work to pick up my vehicle at the end of the day on days they said it would be finished THREE different days until finally they said it was ready. Initially I was okay with it and had some patience as they are a busy shop. Secondly, after looking at the parts replacement list, and labor charges I noticed SEVERAL incorrect charges totaling several hundred dollars that they were attempting to charge me. **MOST IMPORTANTLY** When I mentioned defects in some of the work, I noticed a bit of an attitude from the OWNER Lester. Once going outside to show him, I began putting something in the vehicle so my friend I had brought with me showed him ONE of the several defects, which is that the hood wasn't aligned correctly and was hanging over on one side. After walking over to join in the conversation, LESTER began arguing with my friend because he had pointed out defects on a vehicle that wasn't his. after LESTER kicked my friend off the property he went on to arguing with me about the situation, CURSED me and my friend OUT, insulted local law enforcement, then got in MY vehicle and drove it back to the shop. TERRIBLE service, the staff never call back. I got in an accident on the interstate and needed a new front left fender, back left quarter panel, tail light, headlights, fog lights, front bumper cover, hood, air intake (which I have three of for that car so I'm supplying), and to be checked for a front end alignment, and check suspension and brakes. I'm a mechanic myself. Not ASE certified but I did take the practice test and it was a synch. I'm a motor specialist. And I've done window tint, audio installation, small body repair jobs and very little transmission work. But bottom line, I'm educated, and experienced, on old classic carbureted, and new fuel injected, electric Savvy cars. But I'm going through 15 surgeries across my whole body, so I can't just do this work. Also I just bought the car in March 2015 and I put 20,000 dollars in it after the fact. It's currently been in Lesters shop for 3 months. I've stopped by 5 or 6 times since the accident, started the car, put it trough the gears, listened to the transmission, and got a friend to rev the motor and hold it at 2,500 3,250 4,000 and 5,200 RPM's. And it purred like a kitten, a 5.7 hemi with some minor upgrades. And behind the fender, quarter panel, and bumper cover, NO damage. (KEEP THAT IN MIND) My adjuster through Liberty mutual said it would take them realistically 3 weeks to get everything together and then check for any further damage. At a month and a half of being in the shop, I called my insurance adjuster and they told me they gave ten the green light a few days before, it was on the verge of being totaled with all of the expensive parts on it. So I called Lesters, they said they hadn't gotten to it yet... So I went up there the next day, they hadn't touched it, it was one of the times I listened to the motor and trans. Anyway, I'll cut to the chase. It's been 3 months, and I finally got a portion of the check from my insurance so I could order am after market hood and bumper cover. But a few days earlier, I called them, being sick of being kept in the dark about my car that I had 46,000$ in, I was angry. I had a bad attitude with the lady that answered, she put Lester on the phone, he was cursing and yelling, so I calmed him down and basically what he had to say was he hasn't done shit with my car but rip the body parts off and get the new parts. The day after ordering the parts I called them to tell them they were on the way. Their response was. "Cancel it, your motor isn't starting." Now, it's been a little more than a week since that call. And I still haven't gotten a call... Sabotage or what? They have probable cause. I'm going to check it out. And my insurance is sending someone out to check for sabotage and I'm transporting it to a new shop just to do this all over again. And if its sabotaged. I'm going to a lawyer and I'm going to take so much money from them for pulling this bullshit that they will have to close down. I have 2 kids, I have CONSTANT doctor appointments, surgery scheduled every few months, and I need to go to college and work. Please, save yourself a miserable time and pass this joke of a shop up. read more
