Ok when you go in group, other than that there's a bunch of creepy old dudes that smells like hs gym locker rooms hitting on you--and their breath smells like fart. the pool table is terrible and expensive. The bartender has unwelcoming attitude. 1 star coz at least the beers are cold. read more

This is a non-apologetic, unpretentious, mostly hipster-free dive bar. It doesn't have trendy or fancy beer, the alcohol selection is limited, and don't expect cocktails or anything considered food. You come here to drink cheap drinks and forget the world outside because no matter who you are or what your deal is, you can always come in for a drink and I love that about this place. If I want a nice craft beer and a cozy atmosphere, I go elsewhere, but when I just want to be myself and relax, I gladly come here for a cheap beer away from expectations. OK...for those who are use to going to a trendy bar or pool hall with great music and lighting...keep on moving. Cue up West End Girls by PSB - all you noobs...go YouTube it. "Running down,Underground,To a Dive Bar, in a West End Town." Yes...this is a true dive. Three pool tables in various conditions and one replaced with a table tennis assembly. Live band stage that may have seen action. A small collection of locals that makes this underground dive their home away from home. There isn't a crowd tonight but I could see how this place located...well...not in the most desireable area of town, could be a rocking spot on the weekends - you never know. I came to shoot pool and get a few drinks. My buddy was hesitant to walk in but it was too late for him, I was already in and negotiating one of the tables away from a group of youngsters. A couple of beers for the chaps and the table was mine! The next challenge was finding cues. All the sticks were broken. Looks like it BYOE (Bring Your Own Everything). I was eventually able to find a couple of sticks. Surprisingly, the table was Level at Less than Level - go figure! Beer was cheap and my bud was engrossed in a conversation with a recent college grad, who's boyfriend and pal were stoned and a puff away from comatosed. It's a dive bar in a west end town with a West End Girl. Go figure! I'd drop by again if PSB was on the radio and I felt like going to a wasted dive near a place with the Streets have No Name. Management and bartenders treat musicians like garbage. If the bar doesn't like your type of music they will tell you to turn it down to unrealistic levels or just shut down your show entirely in the middle of the night. Creepy patrons and sketchy management all around. Avoid. read more

Less than Normal as its known to the locals is an interesting place for sure. A live music venue, sports bar and pool hall all in one. The kind of place where scruffy old drunk men mingle with thuggish hip-hop types, bikers and one drink away from being wasted college kids. Somehow the eclectic variety of patrons and the seriously dated decor just seems to work and makes this a fun dive bar worth visiting at least once in your life. read more

The previous reviews are still accurate. If you're looking for cheap drinks in an ugly dive - this is the place to go. Bungee cord on the door, duck tape securing the railing with sharp edges, missing light bulbs and gum stuck to the wall, the place did not disappoint. Was there to support a friend in the band playing there. Staff were friendly. Not a place I'd go to again while alone, but would go again as a group. read more

It was really dirty inside. The chairs are ripped up. The floors are worn down. The bathroom smelled HORRIBLE. I stood at the bar waiting for a drink but the bartender was too busy flirting with one of the customers. It was really disappointing as there was less than 10 people in the entire place. read more

This place is a true dive. A blast to go to. The wings are ok not a lot of meat on the bone. Down two fligts of stairs you open up to a very large basement turned into a bar. Me and my buddy went there the other night there was a porker tournament going on and a live band playing. There are also 3 pool tables in the back. The beer was cold the music was good and prices was alright . 4 pitchers of beer and a basket of wings 75 dollars. It was good local fun. read more

I've been to this bar a couple times now, and here's my overall experience. This place is a shit hole, and I don't say that in the fun, 'let's go to a dive' sort of way. The bar has a depressing feel to it, like somewhere I'd want to go drinking when I'm 65 and incredibly alone. Not while I still have a pulse and some semblance of happiness in my life. The service was average at best, and the owner/security seemed more interested in the drunkest girls at the bar. Needless to say, that was a little weird. It's not all bad though! If you happen to lose your ID (or perhaps are underage but look a little older) the bouncers will be happy to let you in anyways, for only a low, low price of a fiver each. I'd say it's still worth at least visiting once, but it really isn't. read more
