I can't say enough good things about my experience working with Lesley! Before having a baby shopping for clothes was much easier. I knew my size and I had the time to go out to stores or look online. But at the end of my maternity leave I realized that none of my work clothes fit. I couldn't face having to shop for all new clothes and I had no idea how to dress myself with my new shape and size. I have never worked with a Stylist and wasn't sure what to expect! Like most women, I have some insecurities about my body and noticed that I had been shopping for clothes to hide my insecurities, when really, I was just making matters worse. Lesley is great. I have decent style (in my opinion), but she helped me kick it up a notch. She helped me select some belts, jewelry, and other pieces that help me keep it professional (for corporate America), but that still make me feel stylish and cute! She's also very reasonably priced. For a just a few hundred (come on, folks, you spend more on a purse!), she will come over and analyze your wardrobe and give you some valuable tips. Also, Lesley can shop for you. She's purchased a few dresses for me and when I wear the outfits, i get compliments left and right. After having my twin boys, this was definitely the pick-me-up that I needed. AND, she is budget conscious. She's a shopper and won't spend your money needlessly. E.g., She's found shirts for me for under $20, dresses for $50 or less, and other accessories that help me punch it up a bit (e.g., a cute brooch for $10 that I wear on the lapel of my coat). Finally, how valuable is it to find someone who you can call up or text or email and get quick advice on how to accessorize? She has a great eye and is a good person to know and great friend to have. ok, so few things first: 1. i hate shopping 2. i don't have that much fashion sense 3. i am comfortable wearing flip flops, skinnies, and a tshirt to work 4. i've had two stylist (from nordstrom) before, with disappointing results 5. i used to think it was embarrassing for someone to hire a stylist 6. i never wanted to waste money on a stylist 7. i avoided going to parties and events because i never knew what to wear BUT... i just had a baby, and i was going back to work, and i didn't want to go back looking like i just had a baby. i got my hair cut, hair dyed, nails done, bought more makeup, and realized that if i don't change the way i dress, none of that would matter. so i did some research on yelp, and found lesley. actually i emailed several people, and she's the only one that responded! anyway, she was fun and professional over the phone, and when i met her in person, i knew she was the right stylist for me! she looked at me, looked at my closet, went over a questionnaire with me, asked me what i wanted, and long story short, i gave her money and she was on her way! to be honest, i was a little skeptical. BUT she came back two weeks later with clothes, shoes, accessories, and of the 30 things she bought for me, i returned just one item. i COULD NOT believe how spot on she was with my style!! i knew that she bought the right things for me when my husband noticed and made comments about how good i looked. another long story short, when i went back to work, everyday (literally, EVERYDAY), someone commented on something i was wearing or the way i looked overall. mission accomplished. i plan on using lesley several times throughout the year. it's definitely worth it to pay her to go shopping for me given how much i hate shopping and how much time i DON'T have to go shopping for myself. I hired Lesley to find me a complete outfit for a special event. I've never used a stylist before but I don't enjoy shopping, especially when I'm out of shape and got a little extra junk in the trunk! It's so frustrating to find stuff that fits properly! Lesley assured me I don't even have to look through the clothing racks myself if I don't feel like it. All I had to do was give a yay or nay and try stuff on. Lesley is the best! After being on maternity leave for several months, I wanted a fresh new wardrobe for post-pregnancy clothes for work.
