Working with Kathryn was amazing. I've completed the color analysis and the closet audit so far. For the color analysis, I think she was spot on, and it's far more nuanced than other color professionals. She typed me as a jewel tone summer. I got the color fan, and she's right; I always knew I looked good in jewel tones, especially burgundy, but black, white, and gray, while I can wear them, don't do a lot for me. The big surprise was not having my best metal be silver, even though I'm cool toned, but that I look best in rose gold! The closet audit was very helpful in identifying clothing that was worn out, out of style, not my style, color, or pattern. She definitely put together a few great outfits I wouldn't have thought of and pushed me in the right direction. Overall, I need to work on some better habits. I'd highly recommend Kathryn and her color analysis service! I'd recently become interested in better understanding my "color season" and how to pick the right colors and hues in my makeup and clothing. I tried a bunch of online quizzes, but had trouble due to my neutral undertones. I chatted with a few different colorists in the Bay Area, and was drawn to Kathryn due to her unique and holistic approach. I could tell she'd provide me with a lot more nuances and personalized recommendations compared to some of the other offerings out there. She helped me find the best colors for my more neutral undertones as well as understand the why behind why some colors overpower me while others complement me. I found Kathryn after searching for someone local who could provide a thorough color analysis. I knew I didn't want to go the online route nor did I want a cookie cutter approach that boxed you into one of four seasons using just a handful of color drapes. I wanted somebody with a keen eye for color theory who would be able to look at the nuances of my coloring and provide much more specific color recommendations using a much broader number of color samples. Kathryn was the perfect choice as she is not limited to a few drapes, but has hundreds and hundreds of color swatches at her finger tips. After doing some research for awhile for color consultations, I decided to choose someone local and have an in person experience. I think Kat had great examples of some of her work, and I agreed with the examples of clients she had worked assessed. After speaking and working with her, I also liked that she doesn't fit everyone into a generic box. Everything is very customized. I knew I would be a bit more complex. Kat is so customized she found some gorgeous colors for me. Many of them fit into categories that other systems use, but many of them were just extra colors that just happened to look great on me and nah have fallen into some other categories.
