THE best Boulanger in all of Provence, without doubt! We came upon Benjamin Jouval's incredible…read morebakery / cafe / brunch spot the week we stayed in Rustrel, Provence, FR. Truly amazing bakery with some of the most classic French pastries ever. We went to one of the most famous Boulangeries in Paris and this was far better. Classic, rustic and more country like. The breads and pastries were to die for. Say hello to Benjamin when you stop in while hitting the markets in Provence. It's a short easy drive near Apt, Roussilon and Gordes. A must stop while in Provence!

Some outdoor seating completed the cute French Boulangerie set up. (Only one indoor seat but I don't recommend because the line of people ordering in a small space means you will have someone's butt in your space while eating.) The Noms: I had the Tarte au Citron. It was wonderful. It was tart and sweet but very bright. The shortbread crust was perfectly crumbly. I very much enjoyed it and came back at the end of my day trip to Menton to get one to go, but too late because someone else had already taken the last one. In conclusion: 10/10 would recommend and wish I had ordered a second one when I had my first but I hadn't wanted to carry it around with me as I was exploring or take it with me to the beach

I purchased the mini sandwich with chicken and it had tomatoes, olive oil, and lettuce and it was absolutely delicious on the freshest bread possible. The chicken had been roasted with French herbs and was absolutely delicious. This was a hearty sandwich to fill anybody up, and much bigger than the typical subway 6 incher. When I turned to the cashier to pay the ridiculously low price of two euros for the sandwich, I spied raspberry tartlets that cannot be passed up. Later in the day I enjoyed the tartlet and it may have been the best raspberry tart I have ever had. It was that good! For five euros, this was one of my better meals this week!
