My husband craved Chinese food on our last night, so I did a search here on Yelp for open restaurants within walking distance of the hotel that rainy night. First: Don't get scared by the number of reviews and how long it's been since someone reviewed it before this one. This place does a killing in take away. We were the only non-locals to step into the restaurant. In the 45 minutes we sat down to eat our meals, about 15 people ordered and took their meals home. The restaurant is unassuming from the outside and inside. You will notice the chef at the window making fresh hand pulled noodles. I LOVE hand pulled noodles! Indoor dining during COVID: There is no outdoor dining. You need a Pass Sanitaire to be able to indoors in Paris, which you can get at any pharmacy by paying approximately $40 USD and showing proof of vaccination (with the booster within 7 months of your last COVID shot). They scan the pass before allowing you to sit down at any restaurant. Menu: They have soups, sautéed noodles, and fried rice dishes. My husband ordered the Sautéed Pork Noodles (Pâtés à base de Blé - Nouilles sautées au porc) and I ordered the House Beef Noodle Soup (Soupe de nouilles faite maison au boeuf) which come with tender beef chunks and bok choy. Both were delicious! The hand pulled noodles were nice and chewy, had a nice bite to them. Payment: You pay at the counter and you let them know what you ordered. To pay with a bank card/credit card, you need a minimum of €10. Otherwise, you will need to pay cash. Our meal cost under €30 for the 2 noodle dishes and 2 bottles of Badoit sparkling water. I don't know if they spoke English, as I can speak French. If you don't speak French, don't let it stop you. Just point to what you want to order.

No flavour. Papaya Salad was sweet and just watery--wrong and disappointing. Broccoli Vegetable Stirfry was tasty but it came out first and then I had to wait over 20 minutes for anything to eat it with. No rice, no noodles came that we had ordered until the Broccoli Stirfry had gotten cold. Terrible timing. Instead of coming over to ask how everything was, the owner who took our order just avoided eye contact the entire time I was waiting and not eating. The Beef Curry was watery with absolutely no developed flavours. The Singapore Vermicelli when it finally came was excellent. It was so much like I remember pre-vegan and I didn't miss the egg at all. This is a very hard dish to find anywhere vegan with the same flavour I expect so I will miss being able to have this! The Sticky Rice was good when it finally arrived. It captured the smoky banana-leaf flavour well and the rice was just sticky enough with the right amount of little bits that were sweet, nutty, salty and slightly tangy. We were ushered to a tiny table that did not fit all our food so this made for a very uncomfortable dining experience. They wrapped the spring rolls in a bag to create more space afterwards but didn't put the spring rolls in anything, just literally stuck them in a plastic bag. Disappointing.

Being Filipino myself, I was very intrigued by the offerings at Double Dragon. I was quickly impressed when I saw crispy pata on the menu. Accompanied by the well curated Asian menu is a great selection of natural wines from different regions of France. It was a great experience to pair wine with Asian food. Great place! And to finally have some updated, creative Parisian cuisine at a place with as much "buzz" as Double Dragon? Well that was just icing on the cake. So how was it? It was decent I guess- nothing to write home about. I would've rather had French food or Chinese food separately. This version of Asian fusion wasn't as good as either of the cuisines it combined. The restaurant was a bit tight and crowded and all the other patrons seemed to really enjoy their food. Not sure what they saw that we didn't see... Service overall was good, but there are many, many (many) other Asian fusion restaurants in the U.S. that execute this style so much better. We wouldn't return.

Thanks to a…read morefriend who lives in the neighborhood and suggested this place for lunch I now have the coziest, calmest, most delectable little haven to look forward to when I find myself near the Place des Vosges during meal time. Time literally stands still at this café. The pace is slower, the sounds muffled, the staff moves almost silently around the room and takes your order with small gestures and limited words. As a result your heart rate settles down, you imagine yourself in some exotic locale as foreigner in a foreign land, you essential leave your hectic life for a spurt and SLOW down. That's also why the words at the top of the menu say SLOW LUNCH. Do not come here pressed and harried, you will be forced to pause and relax, so don't fight the feeling. What the menu lacks in length and variety it makes up for in gorgeous, super flavorful and fresh Asian dishes that leave you feeling satisfied, healthy and full of energy. My favorite dish is a ginger & soy salmon on top of rice with bits of dried, marinated pork flakes sprinkled on top. I forgot the name, but it's always on the menu.

(Even though it was 10 minutes from where I eventually found a laundromat.) This place is incredibly special. And is worth coming to. It is part salon de the, part cafe and a shop. The food is organic and deliciously fresh. They have tea from all over too. Especially Iced Tea! Which I love and dont' really see too often in Paris. Like nice Tea. Not from a lipton can. Amazing. And it is right around the corner from the Place des Vosges. Oh! And the prices are great. Go! Note: it is also part shop. which is cute and interesting to check out.
