However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. I ordered it medium, but it was totally overcooked and tough, with no pink inside at all. It made me feel bad that a duck lost its life just to be overcooked. The duck was beautifully presented, though, with a side of carrots, mashed veggies, and a mini mushroom crepe on the side. The sides were easily the best part of the meal. For mains there are a lot of Lyonnaise staples like andouillette, sabodet, rognons de veau, etc, as well as poisson du jour and entrecôte du boeuf. Typical desserts, sorbet (the pear is great), crème brûlée, and the cheese plate of course is wonderful, which is served with a salad. Highly recommend reservations, it's a busy place but the service is always great. The ambiance is classic French, close seating, quaint with drawings on the walls of art you'd expect to buy walking by the Seine in Paris. If you ever find yourself in Versailles you really should consider dining at Le Bouchon du Marche.
