We ordered: A few fruit smoothies-both were refreshing, fresh and downed rather quickly. I went with Le tropical and my daughter chose the Le Bronzette, which was a nice combination of berries. Reasonably priced! Many to choose from! -Veggie quiche-flaky crusts and layered with all sorts of veggies. Served warm. Well liked. -Salad sampler- our choice of two salads from the prepared case. We chose the chickpea and the wide rice salad. Both very flavorful, dresses lightly, but adequately and given in very hearty portions. When we had the leftovers boxed to go, the man behind the counter even replenished the baguette chunk it came with. Nice touch. -Nutella Crepe-perfectly thinly folded crepe with a generous amount of the hazelnut spread. (Kiddos flipped for this one) -Espresso for one euro. Whether you're looking to just to sip espresso and take a moment watching the boats come in or the mini train that goes around town ride by, or to jump start your day or afternoon with some fresh pressed juices or smoothies and a dose of greenery, this place has you covered. It's a simple pay at the counter joint with tables outside only. When we dined it started to rain and the umbrellas at the colorful tables were big enough to keep us dry. It was actually quite lovely to be outside in the rain on the harbor. I remember having a "European moment" and just taking it all in here. Kiddos loved how bright & happy the place was and the cute trays everything was served on. Parents, if you bringing your kids here, they're probably going to want to ride the train after. Just a heads up! Plant based options galore!! Service was very friendly! Free WiFi. Cash only!

I had this little Mexican restaurant on my list to visit not only to see if some of the regional…read moreflavors can be replicated in France but also because they have vegetarian and vegan options. It is a very cute, yet small eatery located in a trendy part of Marseille. There are a total of three tables inside and several tables outside. The team running Mexicaine a Marseille is super chill and speaks English if needed. The menu is limited but simple. What I liked the most was that they provide quesadillas, burritos, salads, and tacos in meat, vegetarian, and vegan options. There are plenty of choices to be had. Every option has fresh ingredients. TIP 1: Skip the nachos, the guacamole is pretty good for being made in France, but the chip with melted shredded cheese is not the same as melted liquid cheese. If you order a drink, grab it from the fridge and let the cashier know at the end when it is time to pay what drinks you had. TIP 2: The benches and tables inside are seated high. If you or the accompanying diners have limited mobility, I recommend eating outside on the patio. This place gets busy. There are a lot of pickup and delivery orders, but it adds to its charm and reputation. While it may not be a taqueria from Guadalajara, the team makes every effort to bring some Mexican flavors and tastes to France.

We just wanted something quick and can take to go since we started our day early and had been driving all day. We got to this place and ordered chicken quesadillas, chicken burrito, and a juice to go. The guy working here was a super friendly. Teaching us some French as he cooked our meals. Sadly his credit card machine did not work for us so bring cash as back up just in case. When we got home we dug into our food... Still warm from the walk.. And perfect for the night. Great flavor and with using the grill to press our meals...the tortilla had a nice crisp end to it. If you're in the area and want something different than the ordinary French cuisine. Come here!

NothiNg like being overseas and having to go to the hospital! AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT! The place is by the old port tucked away on a quiet side street with other rather unique dining options. It's very strangely built with that Amsterdam esk spiral staircase to the bathroom upstairs that if you fall your DEFINITELY going to the hospital because you for sure broke something AND it has NO rails. Cuidado Por favor!!! My French is SO rusty, speaking French is like stepping on a rusty nail, YIKKKKES! So we tried to use google translate and my Spanish kind of helped with a tiny bit of translation as you could guess some of the ingredients but we just went with the first burger on the menu which seemed the most basic! The cheese on the burger over flowed like a beautiful water fall and it was enough to dip in half the potatoes! Wow that cheese was good! The burger was surprisingly NOT DRY even tho I asked for it well done. It just was a really good filling burger! It was PACKED when we went and PACKED when we left. And most people were French because of us ease dropping on others conversations so I think it's safe to say that it may be a local hangout. Anywho, just try it!!

They served home fries rather than French fries/pommes frites which seems incongruous since this is France and it's a burger place. But they were delicious--perfectly cooked golden potatoes. The side of Cole slaw did not look like much but it tasted good. Obviously fresh cabbage with a bit of red onion and red pepper, very light vinegar flavor, almost like it was flash pickled. Nice counterpoint. Nice outdoor seating on a side street just off the vieux port.
