I'm so glad I came to check out Les Nails!! I have always had horrible times at any salon in Battle Creek so I didn't want to waste my money again for a pedicure. Les Nails was close enough with decent reviews so we gave it a shot. Mindy is very kind and her and her team did a great job on 3 deluxe pedicures for us. Taking their time and doing a great job. I don't have a single complaint. Well worth the price when BC shops may be $5 cheaper but your experience is hell. Also, the shop is new, updated, clean, and peaceful. It was a calm atmosphere and kind staff. I am so thankful I found this salon - I was so nervous with my bad luck and had to leave a review since I am picky and was impressed. My wife made me an appointment for a man's pedicure and manicure. She looked up the price in line and would be $45. When I arrived the owner gave me both. When I went to pay I was told $60! I guess I should have confirmed before the service started what the price would be. My wife told me later I was given a deluxe service. The business should have clarified what I wanted. She never spoke to me during the service. My wife has had this happen when ordered a margarita at a bar. If we do not specify a well drink, they serve you the most expensive drink. I do not think this is a good business practice. I live in AZ. Was visiting Marshall. I am writing this review to warn others. BTW-I was told to pay cash vs credit card. It took all my cash. I recently moved to Marshall and I wanted to try a new place for nails. I was in for a pedicure and full set. It took two hours. I've never gone anywhere else where it has taken so much time to do a full set and pedicure. By the time I left my back was hurting. With as much time as it took, I feel like my nails should've been perfect. Idk the man's name who did them, but he was grinding underneath the nail and ground off part of the nail and I can now see through my "white tips." He tried to fix it, ground off more of the white nail and basically tried to make it even rather than just filing it correctly. I can also see the air bubbles in the polish. They're also overpriced which was super disappointing. According to the website where I chose my services and booked my appointment, white tips are $48 and the pedi was $37. I should've only been charged $85. I was charged $104. For mistakes. Pretty disappointed and realizing I should've stuck with my old salon and made the drive to Jackson instead. read more

Literally the worst experience we have ever had. Came in for a pedicure: - the burnt my legs with the hot towel. It was beyond scalding hot. - they did not use a scrub. He said "we have it but we don't like to use it" and we offered to pay and he still wouldn't let us. - after our pedicure we still had very rough skin and asked them to scrub more. He started yelling at us telling us that it's not legal to use foot scrubbers anymore. Which it's not illegal. Overall a terrible experience. Won't be back. Well.. every time I've went before I didn't have that great of a time they seemed in a rush and my nails never looked exactly how I wanted. But this last time I went (its been months since I went last) the woman who did my nails took her time and listened to everything I wanted and wow I just love how they turned out. Was able to schedule the day I called, which was great. The folks who were working seemed very nice and price seemed fair. My nails looked nice and shellac/gel lasted about a week and a half (which is standard for me). I was a little disappointed in the use of the electric buffer, I have thin nails so anything taking more than the very top layer makes me nervous. My cuticles were cut so close I actually had some bleeding by the time I got home (about 10 minutes). I don't expect to return. read more

The bad reviews are obviously old. The salon is very clean, bright and professional. We came on a Friday at 6 PM (they close at seven) and were greeted by everyone in the salon. The two ladies that did our manicures were very sweet, made conversation, and did an excellent job on my shellac manicure and my daughters manicure and design. We wanted to get pedicures but ran out of time. We will definitely be back in the next time we are in town!! read more

I found Les Nails ' Yelp page and still wasn't totally sure but gave it a shot. Great team of people lots of regulars coming I while I was here all very happy with their nails. I went to Le Nails to receive a pedicure and a manicure. Very excited as I don't treat myself often enough, I'm too busy working. Nonetheless, a very nice younger lady was helping me, she couldn't understand anything I said nor I her, we managed just fine even though. The pedicure went well and then on to my nails and I do the gel nails so it last longer. As she had finished up I noticed two of my nails had big bubbles and I asked her to fix the two, only the two. At that point the owner (Male) came over and started yelling something at her making her very upset and she even cried. He sat down and grabbed my hand looking at me and he said (and I quote): "What do you want? We do your nails already! What you want?" I showed him the TWO nails that had bubbles and said I just want these two fixed. He started yelling and saying things I had no clue what the heck he was saying but could surly tell he was angry about having to fix my nails. He then grabs the electric nail file and I pulled my hand back and said; "No, I prefer you to not use that it hurts my fingers and it's not good for nails." He then got out of his chair and slapped his hands together and said to me (and I quote): "What you want? I got to make a Money!! You take up too much time! I need get you out so I can do other customer!" I looked at him and said, you are rude and I just want my nails fixed that is all and I already paid! I am a paying customer!! He sat down mumbling stuff and filed my nails so hard that my finger bleed and was hurting for a week after. I get asked about the people in my life and there is always laughter. People talking to people they've never seen before. My nails always look terrific when I leave. I read two negative reviews online, and was scared to try this nail salon, but it WAS the only one in town. I'm not even kidding.....this was THE NICEST nail salon I have ever visited. It's very tastefully decorated; two adorable little girl pedicure chairs shaped like butterflies, natural hardwood floors, spacious. Seemed kind of dirty (which is a little scary at a nail salon), although at least I didn't have any nails falling off like I do when I go to Le Nails in the mall. What really got me is when I went to get my nails taken off (it was made VERY clear to me it was$10, which I already knew and was fine with), the owner (the man) was very rude to me when I told him that I could not afford to get a new set put on at that time. He didn't file them or anything, even though they badly needed...which I thought especially odd since I was paying $10 for him to do something that took him about 30 seconds, not to mention they did not have any other customers at all. When he was done, I said, "Thank you, I appreciate it." His response was, "It's fine, as long as you pay!" I then tried to ask the lady a couple questions about what I might get next time and since she doesn't speak very good English, he came up and pretty much his only response to my questions was "Oh that costs too much, you can't afford it." This place was so filthy I could not believe my eyes. I could tell the floor had not been cleaned for a while. As I have been to many nail salons before, I could tell the odor was not from the chemical alone. The owner was rude and was chewing food in his mouth while asking me what I wanted. He pointed to a chair and told me to sit down. As I was sitting down, I could tell the table was full of dust. Without washing his hands first, he was going to reach for my hands. I kept my hands on my purse, asked him a few questions, and told him I was checking around and would come back. He seemed to be upset, got up and walked away without saying a word. As I was leaving, a woman walked in and began to complain about the infection on one of her finger. I gathered from the conversation that she had had her nails done at this place and one of her fingers was catching some sort of infection. I was so glad to get out of there. I could hear the man was raisisng his voice as I was leaving. Needless to say,I will never visit that place again. Don't go there. read more
