Laurence (or Larry, her nickname) is a wonderful instructor. Very clear in her explanations and directives. Didn't really think a course was required to learn paddle board , and it's not really, but she showed a few techniques that are sure to come in handy! Her advice was great!

When we arrived, we signed a waiver, were given a life jacket, a glow stick, paddle and huddled outside for a briefing. An overview of the evening was given and minimal instruction was presented although few raised their hands when asked if anybody hasn't been on a kayak before. Once we got onto our kayaks, we were told to follow the instructor who was leading on a paddle board. The pace was slow and I found it frustrating as I would have preferred if we were told destination or meeting points. After a brief circle near the dock off the Esplanade de Nord park on Nuns Island, we were tied up to watch the fireworks and avoid battling the currents. A radio allowed us to listen in on the fireworks show, and a glass of red wine was offered. The show was great but I believe we were way too far to fully enjoy the show. Once over, we were untied which took a while, and headed back to the dock where we hoisted ourselves out and were asked to pull our kayaks up to the office. Overall, the evening was just okay mostly cause it was nice to have the opportunity to kayak on the Fleuve St/Laurent but I found for the price you paid, you didn't get enough time to actually paddle and the fireworks were way too far to fully enjoy.

**Keep an eye on their website for operating hours as COVID has things changing up a little here…read moreand there** They have taken steps to change their processes to clean all jackets/paddles etc between uses, arrows on the ground etc. I purchased a summer pass for Kayaking with H20 and I am very happy about it! The season passes are an excellent value for anyone living in the area. They have a an easy to use online reservation system, and staff/ownership were super responsive and friendly both by email and in person. The equipment is in great shape and my boat is in the water waiting for me at my rental time. NOTES: they DO have lockers, but you need to bring a lock.

Payments are contactless. One side , you will find all the clean equipments (paddle, life jackets), and when you are done with your activity, your bring you dirty equipments on the other side. At H2O adventures, you can Kayak, Pedaling, ride the canoes and go on electric boats. We enjoyed Kayaking for 1 hour. The staff helped us to us loaded into the boat, and then we go into the canal. The scenery of the canal Lachine was serene. Plus, Excellent exercise for the arms. I know I don't have upper arms muscles yet, but I do feel slight strong... lol. Definitely recommended, hop on your adventure before the summer ends.

There are about 3 - 4 sailings per day, and you are able to book online or in person. The boat sails near the Old Port area and you get nice views of the surrounding areas such as Parc Jean Drapeau. There is also a staff member commentating throughout the trip although from where I was seated, the speakers in that area were broken. There is seating on the main deck and also above and you are able to go outside / above as you please. It was raining when I went, so we stayed on the main deck. There are also restrooms on the boat. There is also table service, although I didn't get any of the food as it didn't look too appetizing and seemed a bit overpriced. Overall, a good experience. Safety measures were taken seriously and staff were friendly. The experience was pretty organized as well.

At the plank we were greeted by Alex who welcomed us abord. We chose a window seat & felt like we were in a green house lol since it was floor to ceiling glass & the sun was smiling at us in full force. Our server, Sofiane, had a great personality & totally made the experience! He got us our bloody Mary's toute de suite & we were ready to go. The menu is a QR code access only. You have a choice of entrees but they automatically bring you a complimentary Mimosa that is very sweet & you cannot really taste the champagne, a selection of mini pastries to start, a basket of bread with your entree, and a little dessert of mini cream puffs. We ordered the smoked salmon with beets appetizer and some bloody Mary's to go with it. The salmon was excellent & the BM's were decent. This was the best part of the meal! We both got the Terroir omelette which consisted of ham, cheese and asparagus. It was served with sausage, bacon & potatoes. The omelette was a bit overcooked & dry & the entire dish was so-so. We went to the upper deck to get some fresh air & take in the view. They had a girl on a mic sharing information as we went along but the tour itself was average & not very long. It was a beautiful day but for the price & experience, we wish chosen something else to do.
