I politely told him I don't speak French and he yelled "don't touch". I was confused and asked how I might decide if I wanted it. The man ignored me but and began organizing the beautiful messy pile. There are six stores in all, and they are all within a couple of blocks on the same street, Cherche du Midi, which is on the next block from the Bon Marche. If you like "Shakespeare and Co"; you will LOVE this by comparison. We have a lovely series of wine tasting tips framed enjoying a prominent place in our home. Staff was courteous and helpful--even with suggestions for books by lessor-known French authors. Regrettably it was closed on our 2021 trip; however, hopefully it is open for this two week holiday (April 2022). We hope to visit soon!
