I read the reviews and I am amazed how most of them are positive!…read more Peak of the season, July 16th, 2026, when most of restaurants in Sanary require a reservation, L'En K is pretty empty at 8:30pm. We don't want to walk around an hour, then after looking at the menu (not so convince for me) we sat down on the terrace in the street. It took 15min for our server to bring two carafes of water (It's canicule...), servers wearing very casual cloths, short and sneakers, yes it's hot, but really.... superb service!? Decent olive tapenade and a few croutons from a bag. Two guests ordered the menu with foie gras in first course. What a shame to call this French gastronomie; the foie gras is tastless, no a little bit of fleur-de-sel won't make it up, served on an industrial "pain d'épice" slice (gingerbread) from the bag, yes, the one I hated in my childhood called "Prosper"!!! OMG, are you calling this food?? not even toasted and I don't talk about the "mix green" from a bag, pieces of romaine stem, trévisse white leave not these nice mesclun you can find on Sanary market, served with a wedge of tasteless tomato, and,..... a slice of CUCUMBER!!! Look at the photos, we are back to the 80's, when industrial companies started with salad bags I had the ribeye, cooked medium rare, more rare than medium, no salt or pepper before being seared, porcini sauce from a bag, nothing is homemade there. A bunch of veggies soaking on a little bit of residual water...probably frozen vegetables, no olive oil...etc etc. Profiterole not homemade, same as Chantilly, chocolate lava cake, etc, etc... Don't waste your time and money and don't make these restaurants thinking that they are good, they are far from average and again this is a real shame from French food culture!!

There are about 10 tables inside and we were lucky enough to sit right next to the kitchen and speak with the owner & chef Bazin Fabrice. You can see that Bazin truly loves food, the hard work and dedication shows in his dishes! Bazin has had many years of culinary study, including time spent at a 2 star rated michelin restaurant! The menu is limited with 2 options for starters (crispy cheese or blue cheese) & 2 options for entrees (fish or pork chop) & 2 desserts (chocolate mousse or apple crisp). We ordered the crispy cheese + both entrees + chocolate mousse and it was all PHENOMENAL. If anyone ever has a chance to visit Marseille, DO NOT miss this hole in the wall - so yummy and truly French!

I guess it helps that the number of seats and different options on the menu are limited. We went here for lunch on a Saturday and just managed to get the last available table just after 1pm. So it's definitely a popular place, which I really do get. The food and wine is good, service friendly and the atmosphere very down-to-earth. I do however not think that the food is extraordinary. Don't get me wrong. Our starter; a fish rilette and salad, and our main; fish, polenta and peas, were all good and prepared well. It was just not more than a nice lunch.

Amidst the Creative Quarters, this little restaurant offers excellent food and charming service! We…read morehad the aubergine bruschetta followed by grilled entrecôte and filet de boeuf. The bruschetta was excellent, the aubergine on top well-seasoned, the bread itself crisp. The beef was cooked to perfection and served on rustic wooden boards with a lovingly presented array of sides - a baked tomato, a jacket potato, carrot mousse and crunchy greens. Can definitely and highly recommend.

Absolutely phenomenal, amazing, delicious, and creative meal…read more Pros: -The food was very, very good. We ordered the big meals that come on the butcher blocks "Les Grillades." I got the beef fillet and it was extremely tender and perfectly cooked. I ordered it with the optional sauce and it made all the difference (my mouth is watering thinking about it). -The side dishes that came with my beef fillet are what really sets it apart. At first, the plate looked random. A random tomato, a random onion. Random things. But, they were cooked in a unique way- almost candied. Somehow, it all worked really well with the steak, sauce, and other sides. -They do have an English menu Cons: -Service was just ok. He said he didn't speak English, which was perfectly fine by us. We can get by with French and Google Translate. However, half-way through the dinner he starts speaking English. I just got the impression they like to bust the tourists' balls. -It's very cramped in there and seating is limited. Get a reservation.
