My son is starting kindergarten next year and I've been on the hunt for a lightweight wonder bag for him for his first day of school. The French love their cartable, and there are tons of varieties out there, but this shop carries a cool indie brand known for their skateboard bookshelves called Lemons de Choses that has made the PERFECT little cartable -- not to bulky, super lightweight and just the right amount of special flair for school while keeping things serious. But I had to run it by the kid to get his stylistic OK, and that's when I realized how special this place really is. The daughter of this mother-daughter owned shop offered to help me FaceTime with my son by holding up my phone for me to try the bag on for him. Walking around me and getting the right angles and such. Now that's service! I'll be back for other purchases for sure, especially since they also carry the great shelving brand Rose in April thats perfect for kids' rooms.
