We walked in and no one was there, but Sherry and a gentleman at the bar. They were friendly and place was clean and comfortable. She gave us internet password so we could reach our friend as cell service is poor in the area. In meantime, another baseball family saw our car and stopped. Sherry accommodated all of us as we came and went and was so pleasant and helpful. The food was great! Kids with grilled cheese, mini pizza and multiple Shirley temple requests. Adults had burgers, BLT, adult grilled cheese (with bacon). Side green salad and macaroni salads were great (macaroni salad was indeed especially good with secret sauce and not too heavy). By the time we left, the bar filled in and the conversation between locals and those of us passing through was like one big open room of friendly people learning about each other. We all took a gamble at the Shake a Day and were feeling content with meal and entire experience. The Highwood community clearly is made up of special, hard working, friendly people.
