They called her back to show us that one of our winter tires was mysteriously pierced 2 inches-wide on its side wall! (Disclaimer: We don't have proof if it is something they caused during installation or the previous shop where we had them removed damaged the tire, so we let it go. But placing this here too because it is suspicious.) So, we asked them to put our summer tires back on. The real proven mess-up begins here: They forgot to reinflate one of the tires that they had removed and let my wife drive with 0 pressure on the tire. She drove halfway across town because the tire is run-flat and they had reset the tire pressure sensor while the it was deflated. Mess-up continues: When we tried to inflate the tire we realized that the valve plumbing, the metal part inside the valve which keeps the air inside, was missing(!!!). There was no way that tire would have held any pressure anyway without a functioning valve. It took them 10 minutes on the phone to admit that they removed the plumbing during the change and that they forgot to put it back in. There was no apology whatsoever, nor an offer to help other than "drive it back we will fix it. It is a human error.". After driving 10km with 0(!) pressure on the tire we had no intention to drive the car back to the same shop so we went elsewhere. Thank you very much.

This time we brought our 2010 Mazda (since we scrapped the lemon). So we specified: just a good ol' fashioned oil change no added bells and whistles just the basic package. And that's what we got. Super quick both times: complete process in less than 30 minutes. No line went right away. 8am on a weekday for the Impala, 4pm on a Tuesday for the Mazda (today). Does the trick. Will probably be back.
