The wife and I stopped at a place called Leroys, in Aurora Iowa, quite the "experience" to say the least.
Place had less than 10 people in it. Wife and I sat at a table in the bar area. After a couple minutes waiting for someone to take our order, we started watching the bartender. For another 10 minutes (I timed him), he spent on his cell phone, before he came over to take our order.
15 minutes later our order arrived. Both Cheeseburgers were raw in the middle and burned on the outside, fries were cold to the touch, buns were dried out, beer was luke warm. Brought it to the bartender's attention, our orders went back to the kitchen. Came out 5 minutes later, the same burger patties were tossed back on the grill, charring the outside even more, the cheese and pickles were still on it when it was re grilled, pickles now mush and the cheese burned. Fries were even colder.
Wife and I decided to just pay the bill and go. Went up to the bar to pay, bartender was still on his cell phone texting. Paid and left.
Before we got on the bike and left, talked to a couple folks outside smoking, asked them if they came here often, they stated not much choice cause it was the only place around.
I rate the service bad and food even worse, I spent 24 years in the Army and never had food like this. read more
