We had no idea where to start in searching for a new photographer. We knew we had a budget (which he worked with us on), but also wanted someone who produced quality professional work and especially someone who energy-matched with our personalities and our expectations. My husband and I have huge families of Filipinos and Hispanics, so you can imagine the patience a photographer would need to work with the many different/strong personalities and all the necessary corralling. Thankfully, a friend of mine suggested Mark. Mark specializes in fashion photography so his style is a bit different from the typical "airy" and "whimsical" look you would find in most engagement/wedding photos. He captures the drama, the humor and the essence he can pull from whoever he is shooting. This worked great for us because: 1) my husband and I are not into modeling and 2) we didn't want to shoot photos that magnified how uncomfortable we could be with different poses. Mark shot both our engagement and wedding photos and our experience working with him beyond our expectations. He even suggested what we should wear for our engagement photos, which was great! In our intro call, we talked about mine and Alberto's personalities, a little bit about our history and what we were looking for in a photographer. He was super helpful in suggesting the outfits and locking in the locations he thought worked best for us. On our wedding day, he and Miles (one of his photographer partners) were super easy to work with. They both made it seamless during the day and flexed with our schedules. We sent them a list of shots we wanted and just let him decide when to shoot what and be creative on his own terms. It worked out great! We just got our wedding photos completed a few weeks ago and I can't even decide what to post online or pick for our thank you cards, because they're all so good! During our search, we were looking for documentary-style photographers. We loved Eric's portfolio and the way he mixes in heartfelt, glamorous, and whimsical moments. We asked him a bunch of questions during the intro call, mainly technical topics about photography, and we were impressed with his experience and thought process regarding different lighting environments. On the day of the event, before the couple's portraits, Eric spent a few hours scoping out the area for prime photography spots. It was a huge help, because he took into account factors like the angle of the sun and the crowdedness of the area to make sure my husband and I had a great experience. We did a few posed shots, and as someone who's never posed for photography before, I loved how relaxed Eric made us feel, and we had a lot of laughs where we almost forgot there was a camera around. Our full gallery arrived super speedily, and we couldn't have asked for more. Every shot either tugged at our heartstrings or made us laugh. I was the wedding planner for the couple and worked directly with Ross. There are 4 package options to choose from and we chose the Tea and Cake package. From the get go, Ross was very responsive and easy to work with. We had a number of questions before we signed with him and he patiently answered them. All of our meetings were done via zoom, email or telephone calls. As the wedding date drew closer, Ross' response time was even faster! His team mate, Johanna, who also did the wedding day videos, was such a delight to work with. She is so pleasant and friendly. Johanna did the groom's getting ready time at our house while Ross did the bride's getting ready session. At the wedding venue, both Ross and Johanna were "invisible" during the whole event. I did not see them at all but they were everywhere and captured the essence of the wedding. They were excellent in making sure our guests (family and friends) were well represented in the wedding video. They also worked seamlessly with our photographer and did not get in her way. They met our photographer for the first time at the wedding venue and this was the first time they worked with her. No issues The turnaround time from the first teaser film to the final finished full length 60- minute video was spot on. We got the teaser within a week of the wedding; the 10 minute highlight video within 10 weeks (delay was due to our late feedback time to Ross) and the final full length video not long after. The quality of the video was excellent and we really didn't have too many edits/changes we wanted or needed to make. Two4Tea captured every precious moment of the wedding event - I missed the cake cutting ceremony but was able to enjoy it from the video. We have watched the video many times and it always brings happy tears as we re-live that special day for so many. One last shout out: The couple live in Chicago and I live in California. When the full video was completed, Ross sent one copy to me and the other 2 copies to the couple in Chicago. He didn't want me to wait to see the video. He even pulled us aside later during the day where there's a short 30 minute window or so to capture shots when the light hits you just right. A lot of the shots during that session ended up being some of the best shots in our collection. We opted for the package with his team, who were also great. We figured this helps free up Max to capture our big moments while his crew could capture alternate angles, details and B-roll footage. When my husband and I first spoke with her about photographing our wedding we talked about wanting to capture those beautiful, candid moments. We told her we were more familiar with being behind the camera than in front of it so we might need some direction. But the most important thing was that she stick to her style, which is elegant and classic, yet somehow effortless and intimate. It's a style we loved, but we could never have anticipated the magic that she captured. Bre did an incredible job of documenting the day. When I was frazzled and being pulled in a million different directions, she was calm and supportive. I could see that she was on top of it, which immediately put me at ease. She was wonderful at balancing the line between letting us do our thing and finding moments for us to freeze or slightly reposition. She made the day more fun and we knew that we were in good hands. She gave great advice and has incredible instincts. My family is not the easiest and they loved her. We're both in the film industry and can be quite critical and we loved her. She is kind and professional and insanely talented. I cannot put into words how grateful we are that we found Bre and that we had the good sense to hire her. We found Bre through one of my bridesmaids and best friends. She had worked with her at weddings when she worked for a caterer and Bre was the photographer. Choosing a photographer was always something I felt would be difficult. My family owns Nestldown and I have seen thousands of wedding photos and photographers but now it was time for my husband and I to pick our own! We looked at Bre's facebook photos and I saw a photo of a father of the groom with tears of joy welling in his eyes and I felt as though I was at their wedding and experiencing that same love: I was hooked. Well my husband, who is initially a pretty big introvert needed to feel comfortable with her as well. We met in Mountain View before one of his work shifts and she wowed him too. She made him feel comfortable immediately and like she was a friend he could trust and wouldn't let feel uncomfortable - that's just not her personality!! We hired her on the spot and never have regretted it!! We took our engagement photos a few months before the wedding and after seeing her magic with other couples, we felt it in our own photos! We had such a blast hopping location to location with out Bernese Mountain Dog (super important to us she could capture him too) and the photos were perfect. My friends and family told me they were the most beautiful photos they had ever seen! She gave us instruction, specific ones that made it easy for Kyle to know what he should do - not question if his pose was right. She is also patient and quick: She captures every moment and is especially good at waiting for the perfect ones even if it means leaving you in a pose long enough you break into laughter!! On the day of our wedding, she was a calming presence and quick!! We got a sneak preview of our photos within 24 hours and they were perfect. It was hard to believe that we could love 50/50 photos and that wouldn't even be close the the number we would receive when we get the full album!!!! After the first meeting, we were hooked! Kenny and Ammy were very willing to meet with us for as long and often as needed to make us feel comfortable with what we wanted and what we were getting. Before our each shoot, they were willing to take the time to make sure we would be as well prepared and well dressed as possible. They are also very enthusiastic about their work, and their cheerfulness is infectious. The staff at VID studio are all very professional. They have all different kinds of cameras, stands, and photo/video accessory for every kind of shot. A city-wide video shoot with them will make you feel like you're filming a professional commercial or movie. Kenny, Ammy, and the rest of the crew are all perfectionists. They will do everything in their power to make every picture and every scene perfect, whether it be taking extra shots just in case the next one comes out even better, working extremely long days, or even extra days to get everything right. My wife is incredibly picky about photos and video, and they almost always managed to please her. If she wasn't 100% satisfied, they would do whatever it took to get her there. Of course that means that we also spent a LOT of time in front of the camera, but it was well worth it. Ammy does a wonderful job with makeup and hair. My wife can be extremely picky about this, but she always comes back from the mirror glowing after being prepped by Ammy. Kenny is a wonderful photographer who cares less about poses and more about what his clients are doing, what's happening around them, and how they interact with their surroundings. He's really great at using the settings of his shots to their full potential. Like Kenny, video director Shun is very flexible. While they always come up with a general script for shots, he's always looking to see how he can use what he has to make it the best it can be. The same can be said for the rest of the crew as well. We and everybody we know have been extremely happy and impressed with their results for our engagement photos/video and we can't wait to see how our wedding photos and video turned out!

They both made time on short notice and really came through for us. Ammy is an awesome makeup artist. Since we were on a tight schedule and really were just passing through town, my wife didn't bring her makeup kit. But that was okay because Ammy just so happens to be a master beautician. Even with her busy schedule, she helped us out with flower arrangements (for the photo shoot) and even came early to do make up for my wife. Kenny is a uniquely amazing photographer, definitely different from other photographers I've seen. Most wedding photographers make you do poses or make you pretend like your doing something and take a quick snap. But Kenny does a different take (no pun intended) on capturing stills. He asked us to actually move around, from jumping to running to spinning to doing nothing but be ourselves (while pretending that he and Ammy weren't there) and he would just be snapping away the entire time. We had plenty of fun. It's like taking a video of the wedding rehearsal, the entire wedding ceremony, post-ceremony dinner and then going back through every single second of the video and picking out the most precious moments.
