There are various types of pastries to choose from. My selection was limited to Empanadas one apricot and one cream cheese with jalapeño. The apricot was fantastic filed from end to end and the dough was delicious. The cream cheese did not meet the same standard very little filling and the dough did not appear the same. Five Stars for friendly and courteous service but only three stars for a donut that fell short of my expectations. The employee that waited on me was pleasant and helpful. I had sooo many delicious looking donuts to choose from. I finally decided on the the chocolate chip cookie donut. Although the donut tasted fresh, the crumbled chocolate chip cookies reminded me of Keebler cookies one can buy at most any grocery store. I found them a little dry and disappointing. I thought the donut was good, but just not outstanding. That being said, I will definitely be back to give them another try and try something different. No CAKE DONUTS!!!!!! Just raised donuts. Cute little bakery. For a small bakery they do have an alright selection of RAISED donuts. Not the best. But it's alright. I was honestly disappointed with the selection because this town doesn't know what real donuts actually are. But it is a better spot then other places too. At the moment I'll still go to Walmart and pick up a box of maple donuts, I'm still on the hunt for real donuts in town. I ended up getting: a maple bar (not a real maple bar, it was small but delicious need to get two to make up a real size one) a frosted raspberry jelly donut. they just have a speck of raspberry or lemon jelly on the top and not filled. (Wished they were jelly filled) I also got a stick of donut holes. What I did end up getting I was pleased with, the flavor was on point. If I can't find another spot in town with more of a selection of the donuts my family will actually eat I will come back and try the some more. read more

Since our favorite bakery in town closed, we have tried a number of bakeries looking for a replacement for our favorites: cinnamon rolls (not iced, glazed) and empandas. Well, we have found our new bakery that has both of our favorites. We picked up an order of 2 glazed donuts, 1 sugar donut, 2 cinnamon rolls and 2 empanadas (1 apple and 1 cherry). Everything was delicious, especially the cinnamon rolls and the empanadas. Our order was ready when we arrived for pick up. Friendly service. We will return! read more

I love how classic this bakery is! I got my order delivered and it was on time and perfect! The sugar donut is a classic and was fluffy! Empanada filling pumpkin/apple were also really good! I've been looking for empanadas like that in Las cruces because I'm from Tucson and well as you know the style of Mexican food is very different here, than what I'm use to. So I'm glad I found a bakery that reminds me of my childhood! I would add photos but I ate most of it and no one wants to see half eaten donuts! Leo's Bakery is a great place to get delicious empandas filled with blueberry, pumpin, or even pineappple; tasty donuts like the apple fritter, glazed, even jelly filled; cookies so scrumptious that you may wind up with a dozen instead of just a few (the shortening cookies with drizzled, milk-chocolate are absolutely amazing and cost 4 for $1. Day old pastries are usually about 30 cents per item giving even the most stellar of bargain shoppers a worthwhile deal. You can grab a coffee as well ($1.50) but it is made using the Keurig. This historic location could really use a face-lift on the exterior, with the interior lacking modern amenities in its comparative industry. Very tasty. The bakery items are very good. I appreciate your hard work. My father was a baker for General MacArthur and he would tell about how early he had to get up to make doughnuts and the other bakery items.
