Polo can cut some hair, no doubt about it. Only problem is I referred a friend who brought his 2 yr old son (they've always got their hair cut together every 2 weeks) and the friend was denied a cut for his son. I have to be honest, everyone in there working a head on a chair seem to know what their doing.. but being brought up in a barber shop since I could walk it throws me off hearing about a barber rejecting a kids cut. My 8 year old received a haircut at Leon's Barbershop. The Barber is a woman. My son's forehead had so many cuts on it and very noticeable; even some near his eyebrows! Even his school asked why would a Barber do this? His forehead is still healing and it is even more noticeable. This type of service is unacceptable for a Barber to cut into a child's head this way. At some point she should have realized the tools being used were cutting into him. My 8 year old is a very quiet well mannered child; so he was only emotional when he saw me. I decided to give Leon himself a chance. He has to be a master barber, right? So everytime I come here I get a nice cut, but the cut is never ever what I requested. I have shown him picrures, explained in detail, drawn pictures, and asked him what terminology I should use to help him understand what I would like him to do. "Oh, so you want a mohawk?" No Leon... let me explain. Again! So, tired of always getting the classic fade that he gives to everyone rather than the cut as described, or getting all my hair cut off except for a narrow strip on my head I shaved it off. I want my style so I came back. I ask if he is working in the morning, he says, "yeah, I will be there." First time I wait an hour till he shows up. The next time... the last time.. I get off a 24 hour shift and go home to wash the pomade out of my head, then show up and greet the man. He whispers Bit €# @$$ under his breath after speaking to me. He says he has one ahead of me. I say cool. I wait till he finishes, he does another, and as I stand up he says I got one more ahead of you, he is walking in right now. So he greets the customer that walks in, his barber buddy bext to him snickers a little and nods his head. I walk out. I am done with such disrespect for clientele.
