Worst doctor I have ever met in my entire life! Shows complete lack of concern for his patients. He has multiple young Russian girls answering phones for immigration physical exams. Yet you CANNOT get through for messages , prescriptions, questions, appointments leaves patients in waiting room for hours after appointments. Looks down his nose at women. Hates to be asked questions and talks to you like questions are insulting. Very curt, rude and dismissive. Takes weeks to get antibiotics for my diabetic mother's ankle that had a wound for months. I reported him to the board. If not for us being so pushy she wouldn't have gotten her diabetic meds straightened out, her antibiotics when she needed them. This is a Primary care office. At first, the care quality was OK. However, starting about the next month I could not get my prescriptions filled. I had one, where the Pharmaceutical company paid for the prescription. All the doctor's office had to do was fill out one small paragraph. They could not even to that - and this was an extremely expensive prescription! This was a prescription with Pfizer, and I LOST my benefit because of this office! Do not go here if you're not Russian. Not only are the front staff inadequately trained but it's basically impossible to get same week care - even in an emergency. He's usually booked out for 4+ months and if you do get an appt, it's at least a 3 hour wait, just for him to across snarky and rude. If you're lucky enough to actually get through their phone lines, they forget to send in medication or blood work in and it's another waiting status. You're better off just healing on your own. The care here seems like they do not care whatsoever. The NP is great however the supporting staff (medical assistants, referral coordinators, front desk) lack both compassion & communication skills. Referrals are not placed properly, we have been waiting over 2 months for a referral that was not even sent out properly to begin with. In fact it was sent to an office that does not exist. Last year we had another experience where we were not contacted at all for an update on a different referral. They do not answer nor return calls and when you walk in it seems as no one works there. The front desk has been empty every time we walk in without an appt for information (DURING business hours) This is unfortunate that simple things can't be handled accordingly to provide quality patient care. read more

My main complaint is not about the doctor but about the staff. They usually don't pick up the phone or even if I leave a message they don't return my phone call. I don't know what the problem is, if it's lack of English speaking people or shortage of staff. I've been to the clinic and I see a lot of staff sitting by the front desk, I counted at least 7. It's so frustrating. I also initially requested for Anna Basovich but when I went there, they told me she doesn't work there anymore. And I was seen by a nurse practitioner. Then on my 2nd appointment with the nurse practitioner, when I called to confirm my appointment, I was told the nurse practitioner also doesn't work there anymore but they never called me to let me know. read more

I called earlier this week to see if they were accepting new patients and schedule a "wellness check." The person who answered my call cut me off with, "you need to have Dr Basovich listed as your PCP on your ID card first." I never even said he was not on my card...okay, he was not. She sounded like she was having a really bad day...on Tuesday. I went online and switched to Dr Basovich as my PCP and figured I better wait until my insurance records were updated so 3-days later, today, I had the updated card. I was on hold for over 20-minutes to schedule an appointment. No one came on the line...I selected the "Request An Appointment" button on their website and it said to call the office and they will get back to me as soon as they can. Well, I read the reviews while holding and that is when the red flags started waiving with absolutely ZERO 2, 2, 4 or 5 star reviews...all 1 stars which after reading most of them were probably ZERO stars. I did not want to go to Wellspace for this reason...I guess I am going to have to drive a far distance to get a reputable Doctor who does not mind helping me. read more

By far the worst doctor I've seen in Sacramento ever in my life. Unless you are Russian or Ukrainian, his service will be below mediocre. I actually filed a grievance against him (former healthcare worker). He was inattentive, listened to nothing that was said (or didn't understand since his english is also below mediocre). My husband and I were dual booked for our appointments and led into the room together, when Basovich arrived in the room he could not comprehend that we were BOTH patients when we already stated we were both patients. He is a very careless doctor. I had multiple issues within the short 5 minute span before deciding to up and leave without receiving any services from him. Issue #1. Clearly unable to understand English at a capacity to help anybody aside from his Russian patients. No reason that "both of us" can't be clearly understood when you are asking who the patients are and no reason to have to repeat 5 times to the point of actually needing to point and say "1 patient, 2 patient, BOTH patients." Since there was clearly a language barrier husband and I attempted to let it go. Issue #2. I am currently (to this day still) pregnant. This appointment was very early on in my pregnancy. I had some spotting and had gone to the emergency room, had received confirmation that the bleeding was non threatening to my pregnancy and that aside from a small tear, everything was progressing as it should. I explicitly stated all of this to Mr. Basovich (I wouldn't call him a doctor with his inability to properly do the job). His response was ok so you had a miscarriage. When I said no, he went as far as arguing with me and then basically telling me that he'll let the ob confirm the miscarriage then (who tf does that when clearly you were just told that wasn't the case) at this point I was ready to walk out but hubby asked me to give him a chance so we could just be done with our appointments and leave. Issue #3. I regularly informed his office after arriving at 2 pm that we needed to leave by 4:30 as we had to pick our daughter up from across town from daycare where we have to pay $15 for being even one minute late to pick her up. It was 4:15 by the time Basovich walked in after working with a patient that came in and was scheduled after us (still waiting in waiting room when we were brought back) but somehow he was in the room with them (Russian patients) before coming to see myself or my husband who were on time and waiting for a while. I walked out and let staff know no matter what we were leaving at 4:30. After two times of doing this, he was able to be pulled from seeing the patient that should have been seen after us to see us first (how kind), not. This man in the MIDDLE OF ASKING questions about health and why we were visiting ANSWERED the phone to a WHOLE OTHER PATIENT and told us that he needed to discuss this patients urology results (it is now 4:20 and we did not have time to sit around waiting for however long this discussion was going to take and blatantly told him that and that we weren't going to pay for being late to pick up our daughter on accordance of him having no respect for his patients time). He repeatedly said oh it'll be ok it'll be just fine. At this point, I looked over at my husband and told him it was time to go. Never in my life has a doctor even in an emergency room setting stopped to help another patient in the middle of working with one who actually was there first. I filed a grievance and switched doctors offices but much like I told Aetna, this man should not be practicing medicine in the United States. He lacks a common understanding of English and even the ability to properly help his patients with their healthcare needs. Not to mention the ghetto set up of the office for someone who's "been in practice" for many years. Never again. Even wellspace has better service (and that says a lot). Overall if this could be given a 0 or even negative star rating, I would definitely be giving that. Even a one star rating is way too generous for the crappy service he provides. Like everyone else has said, this is probably the worst family practice doctor in the Sacramento area. They hardly ever answer the phones unless you press option #2 which is immigration (funny enough) the office opens at 8:00 and if you have an 8:00 appointment you will be lucky if the office staff gets there by 8:15 to unlock the door. So you're waiting in the hall with six to eight other patients. And they all have the same things to say as I am saying. They will call you at the last minute, when you've been waiting for an appointment for 2 months, and cancel your appointment so you have to reschedule. The doctor himself seems very, trying to find a word, numb or unconcerned with your particular case. There is no personality with him or towards you. It feels like you're just another one of the cattle that they're running through to send in the invoice to get paid from your insurance company. The only good thing about that office was the nurse practitioner, Maria, how do you spell it in Russian. Luckily I had her for my main 'doctor' and only had to go to Bossavich one time which was a nightmare. But the last straw was when the office called me two days before my appointment that was scheduled months in advance and told me that Maria no longer works here (big surprise) and that they'll have to reschedule my appointment with the doctor. With an obvious prejudice against non eastern european people and a penchant for speaking over his patients when they try to explain their medical issues, Dr Basovich is clearly either incapable or unwilling to perform the sworn duties of a medical doctor. If you value your health, do not accept this man as your health care provider. He will run you through his office without even examining you and charge your insurer for services unperformed! Dr Basovich runs a practice like a cattle call. Every single seat is filled and I was forced to stand while waiting for over 2 hours for an appointment. When I finally did sit down in his office I requested referrals to for an ophthalmologist and a CT scan. Nearly 2 months later and several messages left with his office, I never received a return call or any of the referrals that I had requested.The lack of empathy and professional courtesy is pathetic and the borderline malpractice forces me to request a new health plan during Medicare Open Enrollment period. read more

My husband and I ended up with this disgusting, incompetent person, which I am very unhappy with. I have never met a worse doctor; Perhaps all his diplomas and certificates hanging in the clinic are fake. Not only does he not know how to treat correctly, but he also speaks arrogantly, slowly and uncertainly about your problems. He does not listen to the patient, says something under his breath and does not help at all. Several times I wanted to be rude to him, it was unbearable to endure! I came to ask what I should do for a sore throat, to which he replied "ask your grandmother, she knows," but when I answered the situation that I don't have a grandmother. He confirmed and said: then ask your mother, folk remedies, rinse. In each area from making appointments to getting proper care during appointment and getting prescription... l have called the office on several occasions and will be on hold up to 3 hours and then hung up on. I finally drove there while still on hold and there was 5 young ladies in the front office yet no one awnserEd the phone all those hours.. I had a 1030 appointment and was seen at 1.. I received no exam only got vitals taken. I was told my blood pressure was high and prescribed medication., only to be examined somewhere else and blood pressure was normal.. Any questions you ask the doctor he googles his response.. While he has 20 years experience it seems as though he is suffering from some form of memory loss . He has failed to call in prescriptions on more than one occasion and will request follow up appointments and when I get there ask me why I'm there.. I submitted disability forms that had to be returned in a timely manner...Its 2 days until deadline and have had no response from office..This place is a joke.. Don't waste your time here .
