A zero star review would be more appropriate.
After my car broke down on the way down state from up north it was towed to this business. The shop was closed because it was sunday. I was told by the tow truck driver that I should call around noon and they'd have diagnosed my car the next day. When I called in the afternoon, the operator told me the car hadn't been diagnosed because I needed to authorize an $85 diagnostic fee. I asked why they hadn't called me to ask for authorization and was told they did not have my phone #.
I looked at the receipt that I was issued from their company and my phone # is clearly present in its appropriate field. I told them that now I need a minute to consider if I want to pay them $85 for the diagnosis and that I would call right back. Not 10 minutes passed before I received a call from the manager (they apparently found my #.) The manager was not calling to apologize for the mistake, but to inform me that I would owe them a storage fee of $40 a day if I choose not have them diagnose my car.
When I explained the confusion regarding the discrepancy between what I had been told by the driver and the first operator telling me that they didn't have my phone # it made no difference at all. In fact my bringing that up seemed to upset the manager and they became defensive and irrational. At this point the manager told me that they were refusing to service my car because i was being "mean." I said "let me get this straight, now you are refusing to service the car because I want to take a moment to consider whether or not I want to give you my business, based on these errors your company has made and you are calling to threaten me with further fees to pressure me into a decision?"
It got worse, I'll spare the details. I filed a formal complaint with AAA and the State of Michigan and will not under any circumstances give any business to this establishment, and would suggest that no one else does either. read more
