This is a clear example of racial bias and that review should be removed because of this With that being said Washington is a great guy who gives even better haircuts. This spot is appointment only 90% of the time unless you get lucky. And the reason why is because Washington gives a damn good haircut. It makes me sad that I am only allowed to give a 5-star maximum. Symphony Barbers deserves so much…read moremore. The building I work at offered the treat of getting a haircut and beard trim and they hired Symphony Barbers. I'm not going to lie. The idea of stepping into a van on the side of the road with a barber I'd never met made me debate not making a reservation. LET ME TELL YOU--This was no ordinary van, and he was no ordinary barber. After you sit in the antique chrome and leather barber's chair, you will forget that you are in a van. Marble floors, woodwork, a full sink to ensure he cleans you up nicely, two TVs, Music, and a Mini fridge--I can't say enough about it. The owner, Todd, was not only an absolute gentleman and professional, he was a master at his craft. This idea is genius and unique. If you're ever in need of a service like this - whether it be for a bachelor party, Guy's night out, even for family members who may not be 100% mobile, this is such a great option. Thank you Todd for such a great experience. I will definitely be using your service again.

I've been seeing the owner of this barbershop when he was renting a chair at La Magia Barbershop on…read moreWashington St and I've followed him to the shop that now belongs to him and ran by him. Deybis knows his clients so well that I will never go to anyone else and I've been seeing him for 10 years now. He's there 6 days a week and usually has Mondays off. He has other barbers there but I can't provide any feedback since I've never sat down with them before. I am definitely a long time customer and will be coming here as long as I continue to live in the state of MA! Pros: Prices are typical for a barbershop The shop itself is beautiful and updated! Prices are listed so there's no guessing what you're going to pay. Wifi! Just ask the barbers for the password. There's iPhone chargers at each seating area.. sorry android users you will have to bring your own USB. There are giant ring lights at each station.. I don't know any other place that does that but they make you feel like a celebrity. This barbershop is T accessible (major buses and commuter rail behind) Deybis listens to what you want and will tailor his shaves and cuts to your face, you just need to tell him or show him a pic of the look you're trying to achieve. They always take walk in's so there's no need to always call ahead of time. Everyone there is super friendly, they'll come shake your hand if they see you waiting for your barber. Cons: There are no appointments. PERIOD! So you must call your preferred barber ahead of time and ask who's ahead of you. The owner's station is all the way in the back and he's always busy. So be prepared to wait a little. Tips: I hate busy barbershops especially when I have places to go to after so I always go first thing Sunday morning at 10 am when they open. I always call ahead of time to let the owner know I'm coming so he can anticipate my arrival. If it's your first time coming there, try different barbers to see who's going to be the best suited for you. I used to rotate barbers until I found that Deybis is the right barber for me who knows what I want and what looks good on me. A full cut is a hair cut and a line-up (shave) which is pretty much the works. This includes touching up your eye brows!! So make sure you let your barber know if you don't want your brows being touched!

Almost 30 years of barbering, and any time a clipper touches the back of my neck, it causes a light jerking reaction. Hypersensitive nervous system, perhaps? No clue. Been that way since I was born. So why am I telling you my life story here? Because after three decades, Paul is the only barber who is able to not trigger that reaction at all. Usually, I spent half the time in the chair apologizing, but with Paul, it is straight up not needed. The barbering itself is excellent too, no-frills, no nonsense. I have curly hair, so my options aren't crazy wide. Still, hair is cut as requested, efficiently but without rushing, and not stragglers remaining (if you cut your hair short, you know the pain!) The value is very solid too. While there may be barbershops that are a couple bucks cheaper, the price is very reasonable for the quality. The vibe is more old school. A good group of guys working here that make regulars and newcomers alike feel welcome.
