During my cleaning and fluoride treatment, he was gentle--this was the first time I left a cleaning without soreness. A major plus was how thoroughly he explained my X‑rays, showing each image on the screen and pointing out what to watch for. The hygienist was equally wonderful, attentive, and kind. More specifically, I recently chipped my front tooth and was extremely nervous that repairing the damage would only make it worse. I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Cohn and he was great from the start! He was sympathetic to all of my worries and listened to the concerns I had over the necessary procedure. After discussing the process, I felt extremely comfortable and confident at this practice. Dr. Cohn did a fantastic job repairing the damage and I couldn't have chosen a better place. It looks good as new! Dr. Cohn and his staff were extremely welcoming,helpful and likeable. The receptionist is particularly accomodating when scheduling an appointment and the support staff are great to talk to. Dr. Cohn is thorough, friendly, and even pretty funny. In February 2025, I developed horrible tooth/gum pain. My previous dentist stopped taking my insurance & failed to tell me this until I called about an outrageous bill. The next dentist in my area wasn't taking patients for two weeks. I contacted this office (of oral surgery) & was told that Dr. Rannucci was on vacation but his partner oral surgeon was there & I could make an appointment. I specifically asked the young lady on the phone if he not only "pulled teeth" but if he also did general dentistry & she assured me that "he does everything" so I made my appointment. The appointment was for the next day, and early in the morning. I was there on time but imagine my surprise when I spent 20 mins of my "appointment time" listening to the hygienist (a middle aged Caucasian woman with straight dark hair mixed with gray) & the oral surgeon (believe his name is Cappetta.) talking about me & how they would not be able to handle my "care" unless it was to do an extraction. I guess they thought tooth pain made me lose my hearing also. Anyway, they called me to the window & the oral surgeon was pretty dismissive & borderline rude. There was a little back and forth because I was given false information. If he didn't do "general dentistry" and he kept saying I needed a referral. (According to my dental plan I do not need a referral to go to any practice.) why is his office staff stating he does. They wasted my time & I had to both take a day off of work AND get there for before 8am. Ultimately he suggested I go to my old dentist and get a referral but ended up giving me the name of two dentists in my plan that I could call & telling me that after I see them, if I need oral surgery I can "come back here". They couldn't even give me the courtesy of calling those dentists and seeing if they could squeeze me in, due to my high level of pain. I ended up leaving because there was nothing else to do. Also I want to mention that the day I made the appointment I was told I HAD to give a $100 deposit just to see them. Which I did but I made them refund my money. All the while the young lady at the reception desk did my refund request she was smirking. This review may have never happened if I hadn't spoken to my best friend and she tell me she ALSO had a poor customer experience with this office and that same surgeon. She also knows of two additional people that experienced the same. So clearly, this is a pattern. I would sincerely recommend thinking long and hard about coming here unless you like to be mishandled by a doctors office. Sort of a buyer beware situation This is why I do not and would never recommend this office.

They called back Wednesday evening, at 7:30PM, when I couldn't pick up the phone. I called them back one half-hour later --- voicemail again. I honestly don't know what the quality of the dental care is here, but if it's anywhere as abysmal as the ordeal a new patient has to go through just to speak to someone, perhaps it's best that I never got to make the appointment in the first place.

The first couple of days I was a hot mess, but here I am, zero pain, the expected bruises are all but gone and my mouth is back to its new normal. Dr. Hoffman is a wonderful doctor - he took the time to speak to me before the surgery and explained what he was going to happen that day. He put the IV in me and the next thing I knew, I was waking up. Every single person in that office is better than the one before! I am such an idiot - I waited so long because I was afraid - Dr. Hoffman gave me back my confidence and my smile back! If you need any kind of dental help, he's your man!

We took our mother to see Dr Hoffman couple of months ago because she was having difficulty eating due to teeth problems and old dentures. At this point she was barely able to eat anything and couldn't walk and had to be in a wheelchair. He treated her as a person not just a dollar sign and cared enough to ask her what was going on. Long story short turned out she had cancer and passed end of October.
