They've seemingly gone to sh** during the long Covid19 Twilight Zone-like nightmarish ordeal. Saddening and rather frustrating. Beyond the discomforting uppity better-than-thou gay fellow, we love the quaint lil shop, and we've twice spent a decent amount of cash there having them make certain items for us. But, between the gaudy gay guy, and the jewelry store strangely closed everytime we've tried to stop in during the past 2-years or so, we've had to frequent other stores, instead of our friends there, who've been in business downtown Lansing for generations now. We hope that the sweet and very skilled elder owners, whom we look upon as friends, are alright. We've become quite concerned, I must say!

She is an amazing woman with so much compassion and foresight. Her attention to every detail is truly where her talent is revealed. Initially, she had me focus on what styles of rings I liked - that in itself was a process! Christine began to sketch the ring designs and what I saw on paper, exceeded my every dream. Somehow, someway she had merged EVERY stone from my ring as well as my Mom's. Her magic had created a new family heirloom for me as well as my family...she had given a piece of my Mom back to me For 18years, these rings were admired but kept in a drawer...TODAY THEY ARE SPARKLING IN THE SUNLIGHT. They carry popular lines like Alex and Ani, LVE, ForeverMark, and some others that are less familiar...which are the ones I am attracted to. My fiance purchased my engagement ring from here, and it was a fantastic experience. We got to borrow a protype ring for a weekend (with a small deposit), and based on that he customized it. The wedding band is also from there. Sapphires and diamonds. :) My favorite jewelry I own is from there...because they have unique pieces that aren't sold at your average place. Another plus: The people that work there are kind, nice, fun people, not weird, fake, or pressure you like at most jewelry stores. Stephanie is AWESOME to work with! Enjoy some chocolate, a beverage, or a cookie while you shop in their newly renovated beautiful store. If you go here, you will not be disappointed!

Sean and I walked into Medawar Jewelers with one simple goal--to try on rings so he could get an…read moreidea of what I liked. We had no intention of designing a ring that day, much less falling in love with one. From the very beginning, the team at Medawar made the experience different. Before showing me a single diamond, Brian took the time to get to know me. He asked questions, listened, laughed with us, and genuinely wanted to understand what would make my dream ring...my dream ring. I joked that if money were no object, I'd have a giant pink diamond like Elle Woods. As we tried on different rings and talked through ideas, Brian did something I'll never forget. He grabbed a pink marker and started coloring around the halo of one of the rings I loved so we could actually visualize what pink diamonds would look like. Suddenly, all of us--Brian, Sean, and I--were collaborating. We'd say, "What if we did this?" or "What about that?" and before we knew it, my dream ring was coming to life. Then JP took that vision and transformed it into a stunning custom design. When we saw the rendering, we were absolutely speechless. The finished ring--an elongated cushion diamond surrounded by a gorgeous pink diamond halo--is even more beautiful than we imagined. Throughout the process, the communication was exceptional. Sean was updated every step of the way, and the team even finished the ring a day early so he could propose before his daughter left town. That thoughtful gesture meant more to us than they'll ever know. As someone who leads a team built on relationships, this experience reminded me why connecting with people matters so much. Medawar didn't try to sell us a ring--they built a relationship, listened to what mattered to us, and created something that perfectly tells our story. Thank you to Brian, Austin, JP, and the entire Medawar team for creating not just the ring of my dreams, but one of the most meaningful moments of our lives. Every time I look at my ring, I'll remember not only Sean's proposal, but the incredible people who helped make it possible.
