Highly Recommend JSL Concrete - Exceptional Work in My Backyard!…read moreI recently hired JSL Concrete to lay new concrete in and around my backyard, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From the initial quote to the final cleanup, the entire experience was professional, smooth, and top-quality. The team arrived on time, clearly explained the process, and took the time to understand exactly what I wanted -- including proper drainage, a clean finish that matched my existing hardscaping, and thoughtful details around the landscaping and patio area. They were incredibly careful with my yard, protecting plants and existing features while working efficiently. The concrete work itself is outstanding. The finish is smooth and even, with beautiful clean edges and a durable surface that looks fantastic. It has already held up perfectly through recent rain and heavy foot traffic from my family and friends. You can tell they take real pride in their craftsmanship -- no shortcuts, just solid, expert work. Communication was excellent throughout, and they even offered helpful suggestions that improved the final layout without adding unnecessary cost. The crew was polite, respectful, and left the site cleaner than they found it. If you're looking for a reliable, skilled concrete company for your backyard project (patio, walkway, slab, or full hardscaping), JSL Concrete is the real deal. They exceeded my expectations in every way. I'll definitely be using them again for future projects and recommending them to everyone I know. There are some areas that chunks have cracked off. Today I was told my front door and gate lights don't work because the conduit was cut. Not only did they cut the conduit, they apparently destroyed my drainage system in my courtyard. I have had problems ever since they finished. The owner came out after the cracks started, but did nothing. I understand that it could happen, but definitely not to the extent it did in the backyard. Most other areas did not crack. It's the destruction they caused without repairing me or telling me. They also needlessly took out the clean out basin for my front rain gutter which was hidden by plants and no where near where they replaced the cement

One particular company that has door-to -door sales reps (Energy Star Construction) provided me with an estimate for a 200 sq ft concrete patio with pergola for 16k (He would be able to knock off 3k if I agreed to my property being a showcase; meaning people could come over and check it out or call me about it. No, thank you). The next week, I noticed Mike and his partner working on a patio down the block from me that was fabulous- cable hook-up for their outdoor TV, light scones, and fans. I asked him for contact information, and he said he would stop by for a free estimate later on in the day. When he came by, I explained to him what I was looking for and told him about the estimate from Energy Star Const., and he said he would be able to do the job for $6500. Moreover, he told me that the job that he was working on down the street was a $15,000 job. The estimate he gave me was good for 30 days, and even though I called him after that deadline, he readily agreed to do the job for me. I am very pleased with the work that was done- The color matches beautifully with the color scheme of the house and the City of Hanford inspector said they did a "really great job for [me]."
