Here is my families experience with ATG. We came to them…read morebecause they acquired our former ABA company. We were so comfortable with our ABA team (as many families are with the BCBAs and RBTs they form working relationships with) we happily moved with this transition. In a few short months the staff drastically reduced down to a handful of people. A team of BCBAs went down to one single person. The staff of RBTs that knew my child and her behaviors were gone virtually overnight. My family was in the very uncomfortable process of contesting an insurance appeal. We've hired an attorney and were doing everything we could to help our special needs child adjust to process of beginning school. This was a very delicate time in our child's development. ATG made an agreement to let us pay out of pocket for therapy services in our child's private school and this was not an inexpensive agreement. We paid thousands of dollars a month to have ABA services for our child. In that time we lost an incredible BCBA and RBT. When the apparent lack of staff became an issue we reached out to AGT to stop services and they cut off services immediately. We had another day scheduled and they completely ignored my calls and e-mails to have our last scheduled day. My child has a very documented history of trouble with transition and sudden change. They completely ignored our calls to have our child come in and say goodbye to a therapist that worked with her for years. If you are a parent of an autistic child please look elsewhere for ABA therapy.

This place is a nightmare to work at. If you want to preserve your sanity of dignity, walk. There…read moreare kids there that brought by parents to soley get babysitting done. The staff are gaslight into tolerating low pay, long hours, and the mean girl cliche is evident. If you are a minority with a brNoain and a opinion, watch out. The clinical director does not like that. She will work you to the bone. POC are not respected, especially black and non conformist model minorities. The pay is around $20, which is $6 under the state average. Additionally, they are more centered on brainwashing BT's with old school ABA tactics that don't really do anything. Don't get me started on the high school drama. It's so dumb. Monthly meetings are a joke. No one needs to hear that a clinical director has breakdowns in her car every month. When you do become an RBT you don't get a Promotion. BT's are forced to work in situations beyond their comfortable level with very little guidance. There are much better places to work, and much better places to bring kids too. Insurance companies must be happy though.

I was at my wit's end after seeing at least 4 other couples therapists that offered standard "vanilla" advice with no change. I assumed this was like any other couples therapy but with 2 professionals instead of 1. With nothing to lose, my partner at the time and I went in for what I affectionately now call "spiritual boot camp." Jean and Ray have a unique approach to their therapy backed by a mix of data, psychology, history, Kabbalah, and what I can only assume is MAGIC. They have an uncanny ability to read people and see thru B.S. allowing them to get to the root of issues faster and without judgement. If you're a fan of Brene Brown, Jean refers to this concept of eliminating shame (both within yourself and for those around you). I've been going to Lighthouse for 4 years now--even after moving 30 miles away & 2 failed attempts to get my advice/healing elsewhere. Sometimes I still leave sessions upset (because I know Jean is right and has hit a sore spot) but I ALWAYS have a sense of clarity and peace afterwards. It's not easy work bc they will push you if change is really what you're looking for--but well worth it!

My experience having been treated here was relieving at first as I really needed serious attention…read moreand help, but slowly became unprofessional. This is not the location to choose if you are looking for long-term healing. The advice and insight I've been given felt like a bandaid compared to a lot of the complex and deeper issues I was struggling with. I didn't feel care or empathy at all from Katarina. The office started ghosting me, and have not gotten any response from her. Coming out of my sessions I felt unimportant, I felt like my issues and struggles didn't matter. This place didn't feel like a lighthouse. Matters got worse when I was asking for a note, or signing papers for work. The attitude towards me became cold. If it was out of their capabilities, I wish they tried referring me to a different location, helping me reach out to the actual help I needed. I felt so lost and stressed especially in the state I was in already. I felt threatened to have a session or not. Please, take the time to listen, be patient, understanding, responsive, and act with care as all these patients are going through tough times. Edit* After writing this review, I experienced an unsavory set of actions in order for me to take down this review, thus slowing my healing process. I have no doubt they have helped individuals before, but the unsavory actions indicate large red flags for this business. I advise caution. After every session, Katarina would just walk away like time was up that's it. I just felt like a stranger that she had to talk to for one hour and then that's it. Being a social worker, I felt it lacked the empathy and warmth. I've never felt as if she tried to understand me. I switched to my old psychologist and after just one session with him I felt hopeful. I expressed my concerns and he showed me empathy and a willingness to work things through.

You've heard the adage "Nice guys finish last," right? Well, it's applicable to us females, too…read more This past year was a rough one for me: first, one of my sweetest students (age 16) passed away suddenly. Then I was in a relationship that was very, very difficult on multiple accounts. To top it off, though I have pretty good self esteem, I just feel awkward and insecure sometimes. Needless to say, I needed someone to help me sort out my feelings of grief, confusion, and inadequacy, coupled with the blame and general negativity that was being projected onto me. I hoped therapy might help give me a more positive perspective and learn some coping and/or behavior strategies. Dr. Greenburg is very perceptive: she's picked up my nuances and habits pretty quickly, and I like that. She's pleasant and asks about my week. If I have a problem or something that's bothering me, she has a plan of attack. She can also sort through my unchronological messes and see patterns (in how others treat me, my response) and brings them up. This is EXACTLY what I wanted. And, she's very non-judgy. (Also exactly what I needed.) Through this journey I've learned what "codependency" is. "Nice guys" and "nice girls," you might want to look into it; awareness might help us "givers" walk away with more than just the short end of the stick! (In short: Treat yourself with importance, because others aren't necessarily going to!) So, to sum, I'm feeling positive and optimistic, and I'm thankful for that. Onward to a better, more positive year!
