All over experience is faulty. I have been a patient for years. I tried to fill a prescription that is for a chronic condition and they refused. Insisted they needed to see me in the office to re-fill something that is for a chronic(not ending) condition. That in office visit will cost me $175 before I even walk in the door. They won't bill and will refund "if needed". All this for a refill for a chronic condition. read more

I was given a referral by my doctor's office to go there regarding a cyst. I had an appointment with the pa, Ryan. It turns out that they could not help me. However, that being said, I did not appreciate the demeaning and overly condescending manner in which I was spoken to. Left the office. Regardless whether or not you are able to assist someone--there is zero need to speak to someone in a condescending and demeaning manner. read more

Awful wouldn't recommend this place to anyone the receptionist is extremely rude and unprofessional. I received a message saying I need to reschedule my upcoming appt because whoever my daughter was supposed to see wouldn't be in that day, after being put on hold for 10 mins I hung up and called back thought maybe she forgot about me she says I was just about to get back to you but u hung up if I wanted to call back when it's more convenient for me. So I said well why would I need to call back if u we're just about to get back to me with an appt she said no I was going to tell u I was still looking she was so rude I just said I'm all set e won't be coming back. PA Ryan is very condescending and told my daughter he did not want her as a patient because of a disagreement. He pushed a specific medicine that was no longer working for her. He was very mean and disrespectful. This encounter caused her to have a frontal lobe seizure in his office. I would never recommend this practice. My PCP told me i might have skin cancer. I came here to have a sample taken to be tested. I was not prepared for the $60 co-pay. I asked them to bill me. They refused to bill me and they refused to test me. I asked for a simple written statement of their refusal. The short round woman refused. I asked for her business card. She refused. So far, so good! I had my first appointment at Lenzy Dermatology this week with PA Julia Fiore to discuss life-long skin issues including acne and keratosis pilaris. Communication leading up to the appointment was on point, and I was reminded of my appointment several times. The location of Lenzy Dermatology is easy to find, just off Memorial Drive in Chicopee. There's lots of signage designating which building houses which doctors; the parking lot is plenty big to accommodate lots of patients, without making you walk too far. Once inside, I was greeted by a small, modern waiting room, uptempo ambient music, and a very welcoming staff member. She gave me a small amount paperwork to fill out, and within minutes, I was being called back by the MA. All of my concerns were noted, additional questions were asked by the MA, and I felt sure that my health and my particular issues were being taken seriously, and that I wasn't "just a number." PA Fiore entered the exam room less than 5 minutes later. She looked up close at my "problem areas", examined a few specific areas of concern for skin cancer, and talked to me at length about my skin care routine. I never felt discouraged; on the contrary, she was very upbeat about the possibility of seeing some improvement with a combination of OTC skin care products (such as CeraVe) and prescription topical creams. They had fill-in-the-blank print outs of their skin care recommendation which I have found very helpful the past few days, as I test out this new regimen. The OTC products she discussed were found easily at Wal*Mart, and thus far, I'm really shocked at how well her recommendations have worked for my skin. I've had some issues with getting the prescriptions she ordered (due to interference by my insurance) but I hope this will be resolved shortly. Checkout was a breeze, too, with the other front office staff stepping in to assist me. I felt like I never really had to wait at all! I look forward to the improvements in the appearance of my skin, and feel better educated after this appointment. read more

I have been going to Lenzy Dermatology for years and everything was fantastic until this past year. The Dr's are great however I recently changed insurance companies and I verified that Lenzy was in network with my plan and I do not have any out of pocket cost with my insurance. Because Lenzy is not familiar with my insurance I have been made to pay up front out of pocket as if I don't have insurance. My insurance pays in full with no member responsibility and yet each month for my daughters appointment I am told that I still need to pay. ($150 each time) I was informed over the holiday weekend that they cancel my daughters appointment because my insurance hasn't paid for her August claim (in which they billed a month after the appointment and I had already paid $150 up front for). It has been an extremely frustrating experience with them and the one who is suffering the most is my daughter because if they would have kept her monthly appointments and not made me pay a fortune out of my own pocket because my HEALTH INSURANCE covers it we would be done going there. I am officially looking elsewhere for a dermatologist who cares about their patients. read more

I am updating my review from one star to four. I had a billing issue that took quite a bit of back and forth phone calls. However it was finally resolved and I appreciate the Lenzy team taking responsibility for the error and doing the right thing. I look forward to going back as Dr. Fiore is great. read more

Dr. Yolanda Lenzy is the best dermatologist I've ever seen. She and Julia Fiore, PA, in addition to the caring and professional administrative team, have made a hugely positive difference in my life. During a routine doctor appointment, my PCP noticed a rash on my face, which I thought was unnoticeable. However, upon further examination, I realized "it's back;" that familiar blotchy, crimson rash on my face and neck. I got a referral to Lenzy Dermatology. This facial rash has been a source of extreme self-consciousness over the years. While it simply vanished at times, during the past 2 years, it was clearly here to stay. No amount of elixirs or make-up could keep it at bay. Making matters worse, "inquisitive" people, mostly strangers, lacking even a modicum of social grace, pointing it out, asking me about it, etc., By the time I arrived at Lenzy Dermatology, I was at my wit's end. I was quickly reassured by one of the caring assistants whose easy-going manner relaxed me. I was also impressed by the cleanliness/sterility of the exam room. Dr. Lenzy came in shortly thereafter. She proceeded to examine my face with an instrument which resembled a magnifying glass. She instantly diagnosed me with Rosacea, and set about a course of treatment. In addition to informing me about my condition, she recommended an OTC product, which has worked like magic. Dr. Lenzy prescribed several topical treatments, as well as a cleanser. Lenzy Dermatology worked tirelessly with my insurance company in order to procure the best treatment options. I know it wasn't easy, but they did it! Since the cleanser wasn't covered, Julia recommended an OTC cleanser, which works well with the other products. I couldn't be happier with Lenzy Dermatology. Dr. Lenzy has gone well beyond for me in an effort to alleviate my problem. I am so appreciative to everyone there. What a fantastic team! I'm happy to report that my skin looks so much better. I've put into practice what I've learned from Dr. Lenzy and followed the skincare regimen. Thank you for everything you've done for me. I am beyond appreciative! read more

I couldn't put my finger on why I had misgivings about this office but I have figured it out. Dr. Lenzy is fine but the support staff could be better. I'm a patient of record. I've been trying to get an appointment for 2.5 weeks. I either receive no answer (during business hours), leave a voicemail and get no call back, or reach someone who is totally unhelpful. Someone told me I needed a referral for a new appointment- so I spent several days making sure that my PCP submitted one. The next receptionist at Lenzy's I spoke with indicated that my previous referral had not yet expired. But because the previous person didn't understand this (despite me pointing it out to her), my referral *will be expired* by the time I can get the next available appointment ... in 3 months. That original person also told me she would "look into things" for me and call me back within the hour. A week later and I haven't heard from her. I'm a care provider myself and when I know that patients are working against a clock, I make sure to fit them in. My staff will make room in my schedule for them which is a feat because my field is 99% procedural with appointments that take anywhere from an hour to 2.5hrs. I find it odd that there is no ~15 min~ slot of derm time in this office's schedule, for a patient of record, who has been trying to schedule for several weeks. It's a chaotic process and experience that makes it clear that patients are not the priority. I will not be retuning. read more
