It starts…read morewith the reception which is a weird combination of thrift store and hotel lobby, the design is aweful and the staff is really really indifferent when you arrive. The rooms have a very low ceiling and you feel squished in. They have very weird designs of the rooms and the themes are quite strange. I wanted to take my wife there for our anniversary since some friends recommended it. I had to stay there on business and i definetely do not recommend this hotel. The rooms are overpriced, dirty and shabby. The hotel looks like a huge fire trap and the staff is very slow.

This place is alright, it's a 3/5 at best…read more First off, the place looks nice in the inside lobby. The receptionists are very nice and they have bellhoppers (I don't really know what they're called) ready to take your bags to your room. Once you get to your room it's pretty dim even with the lights on. The rooms are pretty clean. Also, the breakfast is pretty good. However, the hotel lacks two stars, because their breakfast in the morning varies. One day I wanted an American style breakfast expecting bread and ham. They didn't have the bread and just put rice. I didn't even ask for rice even though I like rice but if you're out of something like bread it would've been nice to know that you guys were going to give me rice. On some mornings, my food would taste a little burnt. I didn't really mind but the food wasn't really consistent every morning because I tend to order pork Tocino every morning. Continuing on the breakfast subject, the website we booked allowed for us to enjoy free breakfast which was cool, however when we get the coupons to enjoy it, the coupons were good enough to last the length of the trip if only two people ate each morning. Another thing the hotel lacks is extra pillows. The room I was in was a two queen sized beds but only one pillow for each bed. When we asked the lobby for extra pillows they were charging like 80 pesos extra a night for just one extra. This doesn't seem too bad but when you're staying a whole three weeks this adds up mostly because we needed two extra pillows. Overall, the hotel is still worth the stay but just keep these things in mind if you plan on staying here. Hopefully some of these cons I posted change when you stay here.

Short 4 hours drive from the capital, it is one of 2 resorts of the same name. The second one is south of Manila. This one is located north in La Union. The area is not known for its ocean water or beaches but the location is a beautiful spot for relaxing and quietness. We were quickly checked in and found the room. There are a couple of food options located on premises. Try them but they are limited and just so-so. The breakfast is the best out of all the meals. The staff is friendly and accommodating so please be nice to them. Our suite was excellent. Good size, clean, ocean view, cold with AC and well stocked. Our only issue is the kind size bed was sagging in the middle and made it uncomfortable. The pools were all well maintained and clean. We were able to have the pool to ourselves at night since they close it at 10pm weekdays and 11pm weekends. Suggestion: use the pools at night. Less people and cooler. We were especially impressed with the lit flowers when the sun sets. They are spectacular. The spa is located a short walk from the main building, around the club house. They offer various services but always call first. Sometimes they are short staffed. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Thunderbird Resort. The staff was helpful and friendly. The lunch and dinner service could be better. Include the breakfast service. Highly recommended!

Everyone is very friendly, from the reception desk, to the restaurant staff and even the housekeepers! The massage offerings are also very nice! They have an extensive American and Filipino menu, and I was craving a burger. The service was pretty good overall! Though there were some small ups and downs like missing condiments or my cousin's Hawaiian burger missing pineapple but, the fries were definitely a highlight, hot and crispy. Prices are pretty affordable for tourists, and the view is absolutely stunning! Overall, it's a really cute resort with beautiful beach views. The prices are decent. If you're planning a big family trip, I'd probably recommend an Airbnb, but if it's just a few people, this could be the perfect spot. A lot of surfers come here, and for around $150 a night, you can get a family suite with 2 queen beds, pretty reasonable. Want something bigger? A 2-bedroom for 8 people with 4 queen beds runs about $330, which breaks down to roughly $45 per person per night if all 8 adults split it. Not bad at all for a fun beach getaway!

Crystal Beach is in the town of San Narciso in the Province of Zambales. The resort features air-conditioned rooms, cottages, and beachside camping tents. They also have WiFi in the main area. There are a few bon fire pits and grilling stations for anyone to use. We opted for a day entrance just to experience the food, beach huts, and the sand. The admission fee, parking, and cost of food were very reasonable. The long journey from Manila definitely made us hungry. We decided to try out their restaurant located in the main common area. Seating was easy and we also chose the table closest to the fan for comfort. We ordered sisig, tuna salpicao, halo-halo, rice, and sinigang na hipon. The sisig has a nice mix of crunch with a citrus-pepper marinade. The tuna salpicao was tender and flavorful. The shrimp sinigang, which is a true Filipino favorite, was sour and savory. Halo-halo came last as a dessert. The bowl was filled with various sweet toppings and a generous scoop of ube ice cream. Post lunch coma started to kick-in and we decided to relax in one of the many beachside huts. Beach chairs were available along with the perfect view of the mountains and blue waters. The beach was almost empty and quiet. There are available surfboard rentals and surfing lessons for anyone seeking to ride the small waves. Showers are available near the common area. I would recommend this resort to anyone seeking a tranquil escape.

I gave her the cash of 4k, and she also asked for a credit card, not sure what it was for. So I handed her the credit too. So when I checked out, handed them the receipt and asked for my cash back. they told me that was for the card holding deposit which they will reverse so as not to charge my credit card/.
