I recently had a mammogram at this location. They were on time with my appointment time and the exam was quick and painless. I used the restroom on my way out and was chased as I was leaving by the frantic technician that did my exam. They didn't check the date of my last menstruation until AFTER they did my mammogram. She wanted me to sign a paper stating I am not pregnant. I'm not, and I signed the paper, but that was a huge mistake on their part. If I had been pregnant and they did not check the date they could have exposed a fetus to radiation. It was careless, but thankfully no one was harmed. They need to be more careful with their protocols moving forward. read more

This place is a joke. They need to actually honor appointment times. Even when you have an 8am appointment, the first of the day, be prepared to wait at least an hour. The front desk staff has absolutely NO regard for patients. My appointment was at 8. I signed in when I arrived a few mins before 8. I told them that I had an appointment, they had me wait. At 8:30 I went up to the desk, they told me to sign in. I said I did, they said that I need to wait to be called. I said no, my appointment was a half hour ago and I have to get to work, I can't wait. They said "you'll be called soon" and I said what time. They couldn't answer. After reading the reviews, I was skeptical of the appointment that I had made without researching what patients stated regarding the type of care from the technicians and the quality of services while getting procedures done. Upon entering at around 9:30 in the morning, the waiting area was half full and kind of dimly lit. I started to think the worse from the look of the waiting area, but good thing I didn't because I was immediately called within 10 minutes of my arrival time, seen in the back maybe 15 minutes after and the procedure was handled very professionally and expeditiously by staff. The only issue I had while at this facility was the changing rooms did not have locks on them and someone tried to enter the room, thinking it was empty when I was undressing and again when I was leaving to put back on my clothes!!! That aside, I did not have a bad experience here like stated by others in most reviews. The only other downside is you should arrive after 10 AM where street parking ends and you don't have to get a ticket like I did. read more

I arrived at 9:10am as instructed for a 9:30am breast ultrasound appointment. It's now 10:17am and I'm still sitting in the waiting room.

Not a good experience here. The place felt poorly managed. Employees do just enough but don't make you feel taken care of. I was asked for insurance which o have in my app as a digital card. Most doctors know digital cards are the norm and they ask you to email them. I was given a hard time about mine. Then the radiologist was so weird. Russian lady with short hair. I walked in with a smile. She didn't even look at me and did not say hello. She just told me where to sit. Then the next 15-20 mins were super awkward with her just taking measurements without any human interaction. It felt like I was with a robot or she didn't recognize me as a fellow human. Came here based on a referral to get my x rays done for my chiropractor. I was hesitant because they do not take appointments for x rays, only walk ins, so was praying for a not too long wait. Arrived at 8:30 AM on a weekday and there were about 5 people in the first waiting room. Checking in as a first time patient took a little longer than anticipated, but that may have been due to the fact that I didn't have my referral in paper form. Be sure to bring your referral in hard copy! After check in I was directed to a second waiting room which to my surprise had about 8 or so more people waiting. I had been told the wait would be 10-15 minutes so after about 20 minutes I spoke to the front desk because I cannot sit or stand for too long (hence the need for x rays.) I was quite close to leaving from the pain but they assured me I was next in line and immediately called into a room. The technician was considerate of my condition and tried to be as fast as possible. From arrival to end the whole visit took about an hour which was longer than I was hoping for but not unexpected. By the time I left at 9:40 the wait room was packed! Recommend going at opening on a weekday to minimize the wait. read more

I had a positive experience with Lenox Hill at a different location, so I decided to choose them again when I needed another scan done. The booking process over the phone was very easy, and once again, I appreciated being told the exact out-of-pocket cost I would be paying after my insurance was applied. This location was much more more hectic and chaotic compared to E 66th St, but the process was still smooth and seamless. If only I could give ZERO stars!!!! I arrived early for a 11:30am appointment and walked into a waiting area that was beyond packed with no room to stand or sit. I had to wait over an hour JUST TO BE CALLED FOR REGISTRATION and waited an additional hour before I was called in for my scheduled diagnostic test. There's no sense of structure or organization here. Patients are standing around with a "lost" expression. Waited outside the building, as directed, for an hour then went inside to use the bathroom because I couldn't hold it any longer. They called me without being brought in from outside. Astoria Blvd location previously Advanced radiology Lenox hill radiology was a BIG disappoint. 2 weeks prior to my husband's procedure I went in person to question/alert them that my husband has a potentially life threatening allergy to iodine , I asked reception to please find out. She gladly called the tech in front of me, the tech said NO IODINE. Instructions were to come to the appointment 2 houes prior to his 1pm appointment, to drink the necessary fluid. We get there and ask again about the IODINE, We are assured no IODINE in the dye to be injected into his body. At 1pm he gets called in, I ask my husband to ask the f ech again (yes! I am paranoid). 10 minutes later he walks out, he said procedure COULD NOT BE PERFORMED BECAUSE THERE IS IODINE IN THE DYE, as told to him by the tech, THANK GOD FOR MY PARANOIA, Shame on you Lenow hill radiology. read more

Don't waste your time, because they will take full advantage of doing so. Wait Time: 0 Stars I waited approximately 2.5 hours for a procedure that took less than 5 minutes to do, even including a discussion with the doctor describing the reason why I was there for the procedure. The crowd waiting for a CT Scan/X-ray was incredibly large. I'm sure they double/triple book each 15 minute interval causing the massive backup and wait time. Doctor/Technician: 3.5 Stars The only saving grace is the doctor/technician who handled my procedure. Mostly professional and told me exactly what I needed to do, and quickly did everything he needed to do on his end. The main issue I had with him is questioning why I changed my name all of a sudden (more on that in the next section) Staff Professionalism: .5 Stars Why I am even giving theme a half star is beyond me. I had spoken with them 3 times over the phone to setup my appointment and given them my authorization number. 2 of the 3 times I specified the spelling of my name and not once did they change it. The majority of my last name was spelled wrong. I arrived at the office 15 minutes early for my appointment and filled in the paperwork correcting my name, which they never changed. I mentioned it to them and they stated they would correct it. When the doctor arrives misstating my name, I noticed it was still misspelled. To me, it seems they don't want to to the work, and/or don't have a full understanding of the English language. How difficult is it to spell a persons last name when when tell you the spelling of it? Not to mention I have never seen someone confuse the pronunciation of an "o" with an "a." Overall: 1.5 Stars I am only giving this high a rating because there is at least some competence in this office. Overall the staff is rather unhelpful. They overbook to cram in more customers and extend wait times. They have no handle on the behavior of customers or their children (one parent let their child walk around screaming for a good 5-10 minutes without anyone saying a word). No matter where you go you should never have to wait more than 1 hour for a procedure, unless there is an emergency. Waiting for that long is plainly disgraceful, but it is all too common in this neighborhood. read more

I had to leave a good review! I saw all the bad reviews and was scared. So I contacted the facility ahead of time. My concerns were I can't sit for prolonged periods nor stand. I don't want to list names, just in case, but the woman I talked to, Miss L, was extremely appreciative and accommodating. There was even an issue with my health insurance and previous miscommunications between myself and my doctor's office that she helped rectify before my appointment. When I arrived, I felt like the staff was aware of my presence and made me feel comfortable, even pulling out a cot for me after I was experiencing some pain from sitting awhile. Out of all the craziness I had to deal with prior to this visit, with health care issues that had zero to do with Doshi, this visit today was so refreshing and made me happy. Terrible place. Please don't come here. There was a really rude employee (at the time she was one of the front desk employees and was the person handling photocopies and checks the completed form). She just had a frown on her face and looks like she does not want anyone to talk to her. The worst thing about this place is that they are so unorganized and the employees don't communicate with their clients. You'd have no idea where to wait or what to wait for. I came here for a sonogram and let me tell you it's horrible. There is no privacy when they make you take off your clothes and the whole waiting area can see you coming in and out of rooms. I've never been to place where you go in to a small little room get naked and come out holding all your belongings while trying to cover yourself so other people waiting you don't give them a free show. The staff doing the sonogram are very rude and they treat you like you are just another number. While in the middle of my procedure this other lady walks in sits down doesn't even introduce herself and takes out her phone and doesn't even say who the hell she is. Never again! Very unprofessional place, never told me I needed prior authorization for Sonogram and did not want to do mamogram at least, which is approved by insurance, front desk did not even try to keep me as a client. I told them that I would go back to do sono if it was requested. But they did not care at all, no sign shown of trying to help me. Do you know how far your Pelham office is? And the arrangements we as working people have to make to attend to the appointment?also do you know how important is for me to find out what's going on with me?. Not sure why this place gets such a bad rep, but I had to come on and share my review so others won't be scared away. I just finished my x-rays and walked in - without an appointment. Got there around 8:45 on a Thursday and there was only one or two people there, but when I left about 45 minutes later, it was pretty busy. The friendliness of the staff really impressed me. I was helped by Yesenia at the front desk and then Sam and John as my radiology techs. Sam kept me in good spirits and seemed like he really enjoys what he does, which is always a plus. I appreciated how he tried to make me laugh even when I was in pretty bad pain with my back. They send your results right to your doctor in a couple of days and even give you a special code so you can check them out yourself and have it for your records. Super helpful and will definitely go back for all my imaging needs. read more

After waiting for 40min I went to the front desk to ask how much longer it would be. The woman seemed surprised that I was still here and went to try and find the tech who did my test. People are on the phone having loud conversations, aggravation written on everyone's face from the wait time. I stayed there 5 minutes before cancelling the appointment. This place is a zoo! How can anyone get adequate medical attention in this meat market? This place is extremely over booked not only unfair to the patients but to the over worked staff themselves. I've been going to Lenox Hill Radiology formally Doshi Diagnostic since 2001, for all my Diagnostic Needs. First I had an Appointment at the Astoria Office @ 4:30pm but got there 15 minutes late, because I was at an Emergency Medical Appointment with my Primary Care MD, due to my Acute Bronchitis & Asthma. But I was Turned away because they have a Hard Core Rule, they close @ 5:00pm, which I was Not Told about. And unfortunately, Lenox Hill Refuses to Pay there Technicians over time!? I left very dissatisfied and disappointed! But the Receptionist made a 5:00pm Appointment for me to go to the Jackson Heights office the Next Day. Sick and in the Rain went to my 5:00pm Appointment and Again was turned away, because the Doctor didn't put the Reason for the Test, she did put the Type of Test: Thyroid Sonogram, but Not the Reason? This has never been a Good Reason to Turn Patients away?? And they were so Rude they Argued with me?? "VERY UNPROFESSIONAL" I told them what it was for, because I've had this Condition for Years, but the Three Stupid Girls at the Front Desk Said, No, No, No!! And Since it was after 5:00pm my Doctor's office was Closed. I asked to speak with the Manager, there was None, nor was there a Supervisor??? I lefted Furious and Disgusted! And as I walked away the Three idiot Girls started to Laugh at me, so I Turned around and had some Choice Words for them! When I finished they were Not Laughing anymore! This Diagnostic Test Costs almost $1000.00 but Lenox Hill Radiology believes they are doing you a Favor, even though my Excellent Insurance, which I pay the Premiums for, Pays the 80% and I pay the out of Pocket 20%. of the Bill; but this is Not Good Enough for them! Then two days later I get a call that I Missed my Appointment and do I want to Reschedule?? I informed them only if they send me a Car Service both ways. But, I never got a call back, No Surprise there! So when I go to see my Specialist I have to tell her the bad News. And then spend more Time, Money and Energy to go some place else! My Advice, when you are a Paying Customer and are Treated like Garbage, Never do Business with them ever again!! There's a lot of Competition and Options out there!! Terrible service. The ladies from the front desk always talking about personal issues even sex in front of customers instead of being focused on their job. Very rude! For being unfocused they do not read well the referrals and make people waste the time. They were supposed to call me with an appointment in submitted online. It never happened. When you schedule an appointment they need to verify also if all is good instead of blaming the doctor. Do your job and stop talking while you are taking customers. The attendance has decreased during to bad customer service. I hope the radiologists are more professional. Otherwise, I would be scared of not getting the right results.
