We have replaced all of the appliances right down to the garbage disposal, the hot water heater, and all of the faucets and toilets. We put $4,000 into an air system that would not heat our house above 69 degrees during extreme cold. In the last three months, replaced the 2.5 ton system air system with a 4 ton system ( upstairs never received adequate air-- ($17,000), New roof ($17,000). New fence ($6,500) The only thing we have not replaced on this 10-year old house is the garage door opener. I would never buy another KB home.

He is very giving of his time, knowledge, and is the most collaborative of the 3 Architects we have used on the 2 other custom homes we have built. As an example, even before we signed a contract he made multiple site visits to give us his friendly professional insight about several lots we were considering before we selected the property we ultimately purchased. He was extremely accommodating and friendly throughout the entire process. Collaboration is his priority from the beginning and he made it very convenient through the use of screen share as we designed the home together. We were really impressed with the architectural 3D model that Daniel created. It was amazing that we were able to have a computer-generated 3D model to visualize the complete exterior as well as the outdoor entertaining, outdoor kitchen, and the pool and spa area. We were able to have the majority of our meetings in the evenings after we got off work and we even did a screen share to collaborate on our laptop while we were out of town visiting family. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about both the architectural and contractual aspects of building, but he seems to have a great instinct for what the client is looking achieve. He also had the desire to study alternatives and create several layouts that might make the most sense for the lifestyle we described. Our custom home is amazing and we would definitely recommend him to our friends. We enjoyed the process of the architectural design of our custom home and even more surprisingly we enjoyed the building process that is often stressful. Instrumental in our smooth building process was Daniel's custom home building budget that he accurately laid out from the beginning giving us many options and associated costs. Daniel's project management and selection of the builder really took confusion out of the process and stress off of our lap. Other critical details that made build successful was his guidance and assistance with the interior design, kitchen, and bath design, and selection of all of our interior finishes and fixtures. Our kitchen and bathrooms really stand out with exceptional design and we are very grateful for that. All in all the 3% that he charged to be a complete steward of our project was an easy decision. We told her what we wanted and the timeline we were looking at to complete the project. She was able to quickly coordinate and schedule the project. Second, the price was better than others we compared them too. Third, Jorge and Angel were awesome. They showed up to work on time and didn't leave until at least 5 or 5:30PM. Fourth, Rita would periodically stop by to make sure the project was going as planned and answer any questions we had. Again, we were extremely satisfied and would recommend Texas Flooring & Remodeling to anyone interested in installing new floors in their home.

The project manager Jose's customer service is awesome. Even a minor repair to a fold in the taping on the dry wall or a spot of paint in the rug is taken care of with great attitude and service. I was leery at first from the reviews; however, I drove down every weekend and watched my home construction. The service is outstanding and the construction is very good. They build mass communities across the U.S. and the materials used are what you would typically buy in a Home Depot or Lowes so don't expect special order solid oak cabinetry and natural wood flooring or crown moldings in every room.. There are three types of construction so if you buy an Express, it will not have the same finishes as a DR or Emerald. Look at other mass construction and spend time comparing the little details and materials used. Look at resale value-DR Horton has a high resale value. Don't buy a house without due diligence and understanding that your house requires routine maintenance and was constructed by humans. It is not 100% perfect-but the service I received for very minor cosmetics was above and beyond. This is a really nice home and neighborhood with 5 star customer service. I had a walk through from an independent agent and a final one from Jose. They gave me a full explanation on my house maintenance and the subcontractor information. Even after I closed, there was a very minor repair that DR's subcontractor needed to do; however, Jose offered help and called the contractor for me.

The apartments are run down to the ground, landscaping is not taken care of well at all, and management is horrible. I had a HORRIBLE fly problem in my apartment on the bottom floor. My apartment was SPOTLESS. Yet, hundreds of flies were coming through the cracks of the windows of my apartment. I called them multiple times telling them how miserable it was to live in those conditions & they told me I would have to wait a WEEK for pest control to come because it wasn't an emergency. I killed over 200 flies. Don't you think that would be a property issue???? I also had to fight for MONTHS to get a working dryer. After moving out, they charged me for "not cleaning baseboards/crown-molding" which is quite hilarious due to the fact that it wasn't on the "move-out" checklist and I swept & wiped all of the baseboards, crown-moulding, & woodwork. Mind you the apartment is SO run down that the baseboards, crown-moulding, and woodwork were beat to death. I lived in a 2 bedroom apartment and only I got charged for the living room and not my roommate. Not only is this unfair, but it's a common area that was also CLEAN when we moved out. The apartment was way cleaner when we moved out than when we moved in. For the amount of money I paid for this apartment, I should be refunded for all of the annoying things they've put me through as a resident. BEWARE! PICK ANYWHERE ELSE!
