I can't believe that I didn't know this was here! A farmer's market open on Tuesday evenings in the…read moreNorthland! This is possibly the best news I've gotten all week! Now I will warn you, if you are picturing the Northland's answer to River Market, stop now! This is a much smaller market with just a handful of vendors, two produce stands, two baked goods, salsa, and even a homemade curries served hot! I was highly impressed with how much was offered in such a small space! The baked goods were devine, try the citrus shortbread! Although the GF baked good table is also well worth the trip. You know how most gluten free items taste like cardboard? These don't! The muffins taste like muffins, the bread is soft like bread and the snozzberries taste like... nevermind you get the point! Really enjoyed the homemade salsa, in four different varieties of heat! BRING IT! Unique local produce offered, hello wild blackberries and green cauliflower! But the best part for me was visiting Kafa, a woman who really should have her own restaurant and who's mango curry chicken could cause a serious addition! She serves a variety of foods from her homeland still warm and really should be your regular Tuesday night dinner stop! After being tempted with many tasty samples I loaded up, I'll be enjoying Kafa's home cooking for a couple days at least! They are open every Tuesday June - August 4pm-8pm or until they sell out! Warning - not for those with limited willpower around homemade food and fresh produce!

We've been coming here off and on for the last several years. We always look for an older lady…read morenamed Pam that makes awesome Scottish shortbread cookies that wifey loves. Pam also has different crafts that she hand makes. I bought a purse she made for my niece about 2yrs back. My niece loved it! I also look for Hammerschmidt's Farm Stand for their bakings. I've had her mini pies and breads before and loved them. This time I got a mini dutch apple pie and a jar of gumbo rice soup. We like everything we've gotten before. This is a decent sized farmer's market that has vendors that have fresh produce, arts and crafts, local honey, woodworking stuff, and sometimes plants and flowers. They welcome pets on a leash. You gotta come and see for yourselves. A Hui Hou!!

Small yet satisfying. I really like this little farmers market. It's made up of about 20 stalls…read morewith a nice mix of produce, woodcraft, baked goods, and crafts. There's always plenty of parking and the people are really friendly. FPO and I come here for a few things. There's a vegan baker who does some pretty good scones. But, by far our favorite booth is Treasures of Tayside (named for the River Tay, the longest river in Scotland). She makes the most amazing shortbread cookies. I think she said it's a recipe most similar to what you'd find in Glasgow. Lol, we'll put it on the calendar to go there for her cookies. She sells them in little ziplock bags, 4 to a bag. I think it's like, $1.50 a bag. I'm not sure. I see her booth, my eyes glaze over and the next thing I know, there's half a dozen little bags in my hand and I'm headed back to my car. If I'm going there for fruits or vegetables, or something else in particular I have make sure I get those first or they get lost in the shortbread cookie haze.
