My Experience/ You decide…read more After reading the dealer's adv. for a corvette last August with all it's advertised qualities/credentials I decided to spend over $1200 dollars to get the 1965 Corvette Coupe 396 inspected. My inspector advised me not to buy the car because he determined it wasn't the investment grade I was looking for. The silver paint was not the correct silver, much brighter than original born with; paint was thick in appearance and the body contour lines were dull. There were small bubbles in the paint at places and points of poor finish to the body. The door and headlight fitment was poor, the headlight buckets were not original, the gas filler was not centered. The trim tag was not original GM and should be at this price level. According to my inspector, the car will never be able to win a Bloomington Gold or NCRS Top Flight award. The fuel line was wrong from a small block car. The rear end paperwork showed 370 gears but the car had 411. The front suspension was heavily shimmed. The frame rear had signs of repair damage and straightening. My inspector could find No VIN on the frame. The aforementioned was an abbreviated report. The car was nice but will never be investment quality. He was texting me back answers nearly immediately. Speaking to him Saturday evening, I knew I wanted to be at the dealership first thing Monday to buy that car. I wanted a Honda Fit, and that was an excellent Honda Fit where every question I had, he either knew or found quickly. I show up Monday, he was again kind, professional, and friendly. I had some service related questions he gave me time to talk to them, never felt rushed. That Monday we got everything we could do finished. There was some things I needed to sort out on my end that took until the next Saturday morning to trade in my car and buy a new one. Saturday I show up with my cheque book ready to pay. He was ready to help with a smile. He helped me move my possessions to the new car, double checked to make sure I didn't forget anything, and answered a few last minute questions (setting up CarPlay, some of the settings on the dashboard, and ensuring I was able to transfer my satellite radio subscription to my car, I knew I could but was unsure about the process). They even detailed it for free, it was already pretty clean to start with. However, free is a good price, to be honest their complementary detailing was better than detailing services that I've paid hundreds of dollars for. My previous car buying experience in 2017 in Virginia (different dealership chain and different brand) I GOT RIPPED OFF HARD. So I bought my father who has lots of experience with buying new and used cars. My father was with me the whole process and told me, I got a good deal on a good car. I trust him more than anyone, so I drove off the lot Saturday happy and confident. Also Steve the financial guy who did the paperwork was a top notch professional. Finance is where I was ripped off last time, he was patient with me as I read everything. He did offer an extended warranty however when I said no all he said was "okay, sign here saying you are declining coverage." Zero pressure. Also he answered all the questions I had about making sure I get my car registered and titled properly as Alabama does things differently than Ohio or Virginia. Basically, he helped answer questions that weren't even his job. He just answered them out of kindness.

Crappy customer service and fabricating information to deny valid warranty claims…read more I reported corrosion and blemishing on the steering wheel emblem of my 2024 5 series. My vehicle is still under the factory bumper to bumper warranty. During my initial visit, I was told the damage was caused by "harsh chemicals" used to clean the interior. I refuted this explanation, as the corrosion is beneath the protective clear layer. After that, I was told the information would be sent to BMW for review and that I would be contacted with next steps. No one followed up. Over the next several weeks, I called the service department multiple times and left several messages for my service advisor. None of my calls or messages were returned. Most recently, during a conversation with a representative regarding a recall notice I'd received, she provided assistance in trying to get an update on the emblem replacement. She checked with my advisor and relayed back to me that the issue was "not covered under warranty." When I explained that the vehicle is still fully covered, I was transferred back to the same advisor who has never returned any of my calls. I left another voicemail and still have not received a response. I'm now told that the issue was submitted to BMW and was denied. When speaking to BMW, I was informed that warranty approval is made at the dealership level. So there is clearly contradicting information is being provided to me. If information was submitted to BMW and the claim was denied, i suspect false information had to have been submitted in order to avoid repairing a defect that's still under warranty.
