Since then I have been working with a couple of top-tier Periodontists that are significantly more expensive to try and repair the damage, and the experience has been a lot better. Unfortunately, the repairs so far have cost nearly $18k, and I have another repair surgery scheduled for next month which will cost another $8k. Despite years of Invisalign, multiple bite guards, and countless visits to different dentists, things only got worse. My condition was never taken seriously. Room-temperature water hurt to drink. Even slightly cool air hurt to breathe. I felt hopeless and believed I would live in pain forever. Thankfully I was recommended to Dr. Aydin and Dr. Mossad's clinic and listening to them was the best decision I ever made. Where most dentists dismissed my pain or insinuated that I was dramatic - Nyman/Monica did the opposite - they listened and respected my concerns while remaining objective in their clinical analysis. After much deliberation and several consultations, it was agreed that my teeth were not in a state that was recoverable by normal means and that the only real solution was a full mouth rehab. It was refreshing to see them take all options into consideration and recommend the correct choice - not what was easiest for me to avoid scaring me away or what made them the most money. Despite knowing this was the only real solution I was still terrified. I have the most sensitive teeth on the planet so the prospect of crowns on almost every tooth was so scary I was paralyzed by fear. Now most dentists would find patients like me difficult... but the level of care/empathy Dr. Aydin/Mossad provided helped me conquer that fear and even gave me hope. Hope to live a life without pain, something I had given up on.
