Lemongrass was our go to place the last few years for a "different" bite. The Caribbean kitchen is underrepresented in Norway, and this place is a welcome change. The food is good, and the service very friendly. If you're looking for an a-typical chicken dish, Caribbean lamb shank, Jamaican jerk chicken or fish-dish, this is the place to be. While the starters are very caribbean, I found the desserts not that original (creme brulee, chocolate fondant, etc).
Minus points for the chairs: the backrest is located too far back, which gets uncomfortable after an hour or so, and also the paid wardrobe at the entrance. Shouldn't a wardrobe that be part of the service of the restaurant? It's not a disco. I'll hang my jacket over my chair, thank you. Also, the fact that they don't serve real banana-bread as a free aperitif any longer is a bummer. read more
