Horrible Karen is the worst hair cutter she does not know what she is doing at all. She says she does she doesn't. The last time I went it was a night mare I told her I wanted my hair to be blonde well it came out orange real nice. She always has to ask all the other girls what to do next. But if she has over 20 years experience she should know this stuff she knows nothing. What a joke. I didn't want my hair dyed I wanted my hair frosted I never had it dyed always got frosted it was the worst she went so fast with it she should have left it on for about 45 minutes to about a hour no she left maybe 20 minutes she said well I am just to impatient in front of everybody even myself I was getting my hair done hello you don't say it in front where everybody can hear you . Well you know how I felt after I heard that. Well my mind was made up I am never coming back here again because this has been my third hair cut or color with her and the last one she cut my hair way to short so I gave her one more shot no more she doesn't know anything and after rushing thru my hair nope. My hair was orange. When I got home my family said what happened to you. I called the girl I used to go too I wanted her to fix it if she could, she said go back have somebody else do it I said no I will never. I had to spend a more double to have her try and fix what she destroyed but she did get it right I love it. I am very happy. I got a haircut at this place about four weeks ago because my regular barber was out with a cold and the haircut was average at best, I asked for simple shape up and my hair was so uneven between the left and right side of my head, it looked like as if someone had used a pair of scissors and chopped my hair up, then when I asked for my beard to be shaped as well, my beard was uneven on both sides which made me ultimately take it off and that was something I never wanted to do so I am definitely never heading back to lemon tree. To add to the horrible haircut, the girl that did my beard was extremely rude, she never once said hello or anything like that and I disliked the fact that one girl cut my hair, another girl did my beard and then another girl did my wash in the end. I felt a lot out of place and I will never go back there ever again. The only reason why this place is getting two stars and not one is because when I walked in they actually did greet me in a really nice way but besides that the quality of the haircut was not good at all and I had to go back to my original barber to fix it. This inconvenienced me a lot as I had to get two haircuts in one week which wasn't my goal. If you're looking for a cheap way to get a buzz cut then I would say go here but anything more than a buzz cut I recommend staying away from this place. I had a horrible experience with Rose E. Not only did she ignore my request of the length that I asked for (she gave me curtain bangs when I in no way asked for any type of a bang), she then proceeded to make me feel bad for how she screwed up. She was not able to find ways to make the scenario better but instead made me feel worse about the situation & that I should reassure her that it is okay, when it clearly was not. She couldn't follow a simple request for a trim and clearly doesn't understand what an angled cut resembles. I should not have been charged for this uneven, choppy haircut and soon after found an alternative salon to fix her mistake. AVOID ROSE E. AT ALL COSTS. read more

I have 3 girls, so getting our haircuts is a hefty expense. Decided to try Lemon Tree on a friend's recommendation. Very happy I did! Great haircuts at cheap prices. My daughter recently had blond streaks put in. They did a great job and it was affordable! The downsides are minor, and the reason for 4 stars and not 5: If you are looking for A stylist, it's hard as they don't seem to stay long term. I have very curly hair. It's difficult to find someone who can give you a nice cut. I'm very picky. My fav girl left for another salon. But, I know because I have seen other stylists work, someone will do a great job. Secondly, expect to have to wait, even when you make an appointment..because they take all walk ins. It is always worth the wait! read more

I would give it zero if I could. My hair was overgrown, I was looking for a place just to do a nice trim. I stopped in turns out it was the owner who could cut my hair. So I figured owner that's great . What a mistake! my long hair is butchered. I have chops in the middle of my head for no reason it was like having a blind woman cut my hair. We had a horrible experience. Even though we had 2 appointments for 4pm, the receptionist did not properly schedule them, and when we got there at 4 (on time), there was no one there to do our haircuts. We were told to wait "a few minutes" and even though we were uncomfortable waiting in the store we thought it would just be a few minutes. We waited there until 4:30 and no one was ready to help us, and when we asked how much longer we would have to wait we did not get a straight answer, just a lot of attitude about how we had to wait even though we had appointments. At this time we left. The whole experience felt very uncomfortable, especially waiting so long indoors, and the people working there were very rude and unhelpful. I would not go here. read more

I made an appointment with Veronica but because she still had a client when I got there another woman cut my hair and I think it was horrible. I wish I got her name for the review. She was nice but my hair came out horrible. I asked her to angle my hair and it's not angled but rather just 2 inches shorter and then dramatically longer in the back. The layering is all choppy and different lengths all around my head. I think it looks awful. The woman who did it had dark hair and a lot of tattoos on her arms. I really wish I had Veronica do it. I honestly need another appointment just to fix it. Worst haircut ever. I use La La. She works in Rocky Point and Shirley. I had an appointment with someone else, she had a family emergency and wasn't able to do my hair. I am so happy they asked me if I would like to go to La La, because ordinarily, I would have said no, and rescheduled. I'm so glad that I didn't. I will not go to anyone else. I've even convinced my mother to go. She's had the same hairdresser for a million years. We never have to wait, we make an appointment, and she is ready when we get there. My mother's color and my highlights are amazing. Definitely make an appointment with La La, you will not be disappointed. read more

I didn't even want to give one star..My daughter was in last week for a trim. I can't believe how horrible her hair looked. The hair stylist literally cut a horizontal line where it should have been angled. Shame on me for being in a rush and not realizing right away how terrible it looked. My daughter has gorgeous long hair and she tucked it behind her ear so I didn't realize until we left and she pulled her hair out. I was so angry that a professional stylist could do this.
