Helen Feng - this is for you. I booked my stay through Kayak. 29th - 31st. Pulled in and knew I was already fooled by the pictures. Homeless people chillin by the front desk. Go to the "front desk" which you will find yourself separated by bulletproof glass. Trashy printed paperwork taped all over the glass WARNING YOU left and right of all the activity going on. Prostitution, drug dealing, etc. The woman who barely spoke English couldn't find my reservation. Said I was checking out next day, which I wasn't. Then tried to take $20 cash from me. I said no and it never got brought up after that. Tryna make a quick buck or what? She gave me my key and I drove around the corner hoping less creeps were over there. Negative. Went in my room and the AC unit was stuck at 60 degrees. Went to go take a shower and the tub was chipped. And disgusting. NO HOT WATER. Paint patches all over the rooms walls. Dirt on the doors from people touching it over the course of YEARS. Phone didn't even work to call the front desk. I decided to check out in the morning. I felt unsafe, I couldn't even be accommodated with a hot shower. Called Kayak who told me the manager was on her way to my room to speak to me. 5 minutes later Helen knocks on my door. I start showing her everything that is wrong and she had the audacity to ARGUE with me. She ran the bath water and made me touch it. Claimed it was as hot as the "law" will let them run it. BULLSHIT - I stayed at a hotel the night prior. This was borderline lukewarm / room temperature. She took absolutely no responsibility. I asked to speak to the person above her, she refused. Claimed she was the owner (ya, unlikely.) Helen walked away from me while I was in the middle of speaking. She was so incredibly rude, and told me I should've just asked for a different room. I have it on video. First of all - I'm here for business. I got in late. Phone to front desk didn't work, so she expected me to walk in this trash area in the middle of the night to request a different room?! If the actual owner reads this - I want a refund for my one night stay. Also, have a conversation with Helen and let her know the way she talks to guests is uncalled for. Just recognize what's wrong and make it right. You can't possibly sit in front of me trying to validate how this is all okay. Cheap or not, at least have some quality in your management. I'm expecting someone to reach out and make this right or I will be taking this to the Better Business Bureau.

LOW END ACCOMMODATION: "You Get What You Pay For" If I'm in the LA area for a couple of days I don't mind staying at a motel. Regardless of how small a motel is I care about quality. I stayed here with my parents last weekend due to a family gathering. We wanted to stay at a place close by, but not too expensive. So I found this place on Expedia and booked it was $60 a night. Where to begin? Besides a nice staff nothing else was positive about this motel. I'll let the pictures in my review describe my experience. That is inexcusable to have a faulty electric outlet and graffiti on the cabinets in any motel. I've stayed at hostels Europe, Japan, and South Africa that were cleaner than this place. Those hostels were less than $30 a night. There's a sign that states new management. I hope it makes major upgrades to this motel to make it liveable. This motel is next to a hill where on top are two casual, upscale restaurants: Coco Palm Restaurant and Pomona Valley Mining Company. Due to these two restaurants this motel has the potential to attract more guests provided there's a major upgrade to the facilities. Despite the new management if I come back to LA I'm not staying at this motel again. I'm willing to pay more for a hotel that doesn't have faulty outlet, graffiti cabinet, and a dirty swimming pool.

Cloudy pics but dirty walls with food or feces on the wall. It was brown. Whole room was foul

Dirty, seems abandoned by management. Dilapidated, swarming with transients, fire pit under the left stairs case with visible crack pipes and sleeping bag, trash all over parking lot and hall ways. Says no smoking or pets but drug use happening out in the open, cigarettes butts flooding the halls. Never got service. All the pictures I see on Yelp are exactly what you get. No exaggeration.

Bed bug bite ‍

Bro I'm actually dying we walked into the first room and we had to get a different room because it smelled so bad (like tobacco and dust) but we spent the night and I got a bed bug bite PLEASE save yourself do not go here. From the other reviews, they're all still true and there were stains everywhere.

RUDE STAFF , we had BEDBUGS BAD , not 10 minutes after we checked in the police drove through, after they they exited the parking lot I wish they would've made a U-turn. All of a sudden people you normally wouldn't see popped outta nowhere. If you have young children don't stay here, or keep your kids inside. Some weird ass kept trying to hit on my teenage daughter, and then asked me for a cigarette. My daughter, grandkids, and myself got bitten my bedbugs so BAD. DISGUSTING. WOULDN'T CHANGE OUR ROOM. NEVER AGAIN. Made reservation on Priceline, Make sure you have $20 cash for key deposit and plenty of time upon check out so that they can inspect YOUR room, if they find any reason they will keep your deposit. I did not have any issues but had to wait over an hour due to other guests unable to get their deposits due to issues.

Stay somewhere else. It's worth the extra $$. Room was disgusting, smelled like pee. I went to the gas station nextdoor to buy a phone charger, and the attendant warned me not to go out at night and park my car where there's camera's. He said if I was staying long to find another hotel because a woman should not stay here alone long.

I have to admit right off the bat that I am no fan of Riverside county or the 909. But there was a band I wanted to see at the Pomona Fairplex, and this was the cheapest place to get a room nearby. I am no prima donna when it comes to places to stay-as long as it's relatively clean and decent-which the Lemon Tree is. Convenient location-right off Interstate 10 and just around the corner from the back road that leads straight to the Fairplex grounds. I will say one thing: I turned on the TV in my room just to check out CNN or see if they got MTV and what pops up: PORN! And it was free-not even blocked or scrambled. I was pretty shocked. Another thing-the rooms were serviced by maids that looked like they just got out of meth rehab-not that there's anything wrong with that. I guess I am just a sheltered kind of goody-goody but it made me realize just how really a non-party-er I have evolved into. Still-it ain't the ritz but the Lemon Tree will do in a pinch. Keep the kids away from the TV remote control unless you want to have to start explaining the birds-and-the-bees!

Worse Motel ever. I cant believe they are still in business!

Garey Motel - Room with One Queen bed

Garey Motel

A few months ago I needed a last minute room, and well since the Bartender that night was trying to…read moreretire off me, my funds were limited. So after I close out my tab, and decide that its gonna be a JC for my kids college and not a UC (thanks Bartender) I grab my phone and check a few motels in the area. What I was looking for was the most bang for my buck, cheap price but not to cheap of a motel. I didn't want to wake up with lice, or have to sleep with vermin, since they weren't chipping in on the bill. I see Garey Motel and book it for the night. Slept soundly, and woke up to no lice or no little friends crawling around. Like I said most bang for your buck. The story doesn't stop here though. A few weeks later I find myself in a similar situation needing a solid, safe, clean room that doesn't cost to much. Garey Motel pops up again, and I book it. This time something's different. Right when I walk in I notice the room has been remodeled. Now I don't pretend to be anything other than a special Ed teacher... I am not a designer by any means but I do know quality when I see it. These rooms have been remodeled for the better and the smell of cleanliness is picked up outside the door even before walking in your room. Remember now I look for the most bang for the buck, And I don't pay very much for the room so I figure okay next time the prices will probably go up because they remodeled their rooms. A couple more weeks go by and well here we are Christmas break and I need somewhere nice to stay for a few days while my house is being worked on, I choose Garey motel, and let me tell you why. The price still hasn't gone up since the room remodeling... like I say most bang for the buck. The rooms are awesome, and look modern. Now I will say this, if your gonna be one of those that are gonna compare this motel to the Venetian in Vegas, just get outa here, no local motel or nothing for that matter will ever please you in life anyways so move along. Be real here, have real expectations. Garey Motel offers a great fair price, modern rooms, cleanliness, and a safe place whether it's for a night or a few days and to top it off the owners are a husband and wife couple who stop whatever they are doing to help and assist you with your needs. This review was written after staying here several times within a few months span, meaning I've had time to critique this place. And well I'll say it again, I'm not a professional "motel goer." I'm just a teacher, someone who has a normal job like you, but I do know quality when I see it. Thanks guys for the awesome room, I'll be seeing you soon.

They were using the Sheraton Conference center side, which is attached to one of the Fairplex's "warehouse" buildings where Collector's Expo was taking place. There's a small hall walkway in, another hall area where there's seating, information about the event, outlets, seating, and super fancy and clean restrooms. The actual conference rooms were being used for TCG tournaments that were going on for the event. Liked that the restrooms were clean and looked nicer and I am sure were cleaned more regularly than the restrooms at the Fairplex. AC was blasting and super strong, great with the hotter January weekend and the amount of people at the event. Great place to rest up even though I'm not specifically there for this Collector's Expo in general.

We travel with my parents (Marriott lifetime platinum members, not exactly first-time guests), and every single time we've stayed here, we've requested connecting rooms. And not just casually mentioned it--we've called ahead, emailed, and even received confirmation from the front desk that it was "taken care of." Fast forward to check-in... surprise! No notes. No record. No connecting rooms. Again... At this point, it's less of a mistake and more of a tradition. Honestly, if you're looking for consistency, this hotel does deliver--just not in the way you'd hope. We were told this would be a "great teaching moment" for the staff. I'd love to know what curriculum they're using, because 3-for-3 suggests nobody is passing the class. Then there's breakfast. With the hotel at full occupancy, you'd think staffing the restaurant appropriately would be part of the plan. Instead, we were quoted a 40-minute wait because they didn't have enough staff to handle the crowd. Nothing says "relaxing hotel stay" like scheduling your morning around whether you'll be able to eat. Safety-wise... shoutout to my 4-year-old for having better hazard awareness than maintenance. One of the balcony chairs had a large exposed screw sticking out of it. She caught it before it caught her arm open, which is probably not the kind of guest experience the hotel is going for. And the showers? Designed, apparently, for someone no taller than 5'6" with a deep appreciation for low water pressure. If you've ever wanted to feel like you're rinsing off under a mildly enthusiastic garden hose, you're in luck. What's frustrating is that this place was good. That's why we keep coming back. But each visit feels like a noticeable step backward. At this point, I'm not sure we have it in us to roll the dice a fourth time.
