This hotel is a great choice if your looking to book a room. Room rates are reasonable and , The staff is accommodating too , all of them are very nice and helpful with anything u may need . Right now there is currently some new construction/ updating to the property with remodeled new rooms. This is a quiet kid/family friendly hotel . Security cameras to insure your safety and ur cars safety while ur here . Overall I've had an excellent experience with my stay and plan to come again next time I'm in town , I'd recommend this place to come visit to anyone . read more

Helen Feng - this is for you. I booked my stay through Kayak. 29th - 31st. Pulled in and knew I was already fooled by the pictures. Homeless people chillin by the front desk. Go to the "front desk" which you will find yourself separated by bulletproof glass. Trashy printed paperwork taped all over the glass WARNING YOU left and right of all the activity going on. Prostitution, drug dealing, etc. The woman who barely spoke English couldn't find my reservation. Said I was checking out next day, which I wasn't. Then tried to take $20 cash from me. I said no and it never got brought up after that. Tryna make a quick buck or what? She gave me my key and I drove around the corner hoping less creeps were over there. Negative. Went in my room and the AC unit was stuck at 60 degrees. Went to go take a shower and the tub was chipped. And disgusting. NO HOT WATER. Paint patches all over the rooms walls. Dirt on the doors from people touching it over the course of YEARS. Phone didn't even work to call the front desk. I decided to check out in the morning. I felt unsafe, I couldn't even be accommodated with a hot shower. Called Kayak who told me the manager was on her way to my room to speak to me. 5 minutes later Helen knocks on my door. I start showing her everything that is wrong and she had the audacity to ARGUE with me. She ran the bath water and made me touch it. Claimed it was as hot as the "law" will let them run it. BULLSHIT - I stayed at a hotel the night prior. This was borderline lukewarm / room temperature. She took absolutely no responsibility. I asked to speak to the person above her, she refused. Claimed she was the owner (ya, unlikely.) Helen walked away from me while I was in the middle of speaking. She was so incredibly rude, and told me I should've just asked for a different room. I have it on video. First of all - I'm here for business. I got in late. Phone to front desk didn't work, so she expected me to walk in this trash area in the middle of the night to request a different room?! If the actual owner reads this - I want a refund for my one night stay. Also, have a conversation with Helen and let her know the way she talks to guests is uncalled for. Just recognize what's wrong and make it right. You can't possibly sit in front of me trying to validate how this is all okay. Cheap or not, at least have some quality in your management. I stayed here with my parents last weekend due to a family gathering. We wanted to stay at a place close by, but not too expensive. So I found this place on Expedia and booked it was $60 a night. Where to begin? Besides a nice staff nothing else was positive about this motel. I'll let the pictures in my review describe my experience. That is inexcusable to have a faulty electric outlet and graffiti on the cabinets in any motel. I've stayed at hostels Europe, Japan, and South Africa that were cleaner than this place. Those hostels were less than $30 a night. There's a sign that states new management. I hope it makes major upgrades to this motel to make it liveable. This motel is next to a hill where on top are two casual, upscale restaurants: Coco Palm Restaurant and Pomona Valley Mining Company. Due to these two restaurants this motel has the potential to attract more guests provided there's a major upgrade to the facilities. Despite the new management if I come back to LA I'm not staying at this motel again. I have to admit right off the bat that I am no fan of Riverside county or the 909. But there was a band I wanted to see at the Pomona Fairplex, and this was the cheapest place to get a room nearby. I am no prima donna when it comes to places to stay-as long as it's relatively clean and decent-which the Lemon Tree is. Convenient location-right off Interstate 10 and just around the corner from the back road that leads straight to the Fairplex grounds. I will say one thing: I turned on the TV in my room just to check out CNN or see if they got MTV and what pops up: PORN! And it was free-not even blocked or scrambled. I was pretty shocked. Another thing-the rooms were serviced by maids that looked like they just got out of meth rehab-not that there's anything wrong with that. I guess I am just a sheltered kind of goody-goody but it made me realize just how really a non-party-er I have evolved into. Still-it ain't the ritz but the Lemon Tree will do in a pinch. Keep the kids away from the TV remote control unless you want to have to start explaining the birds-and-the-bees! read more

Given how I normally stay at the Best Western in Diamond Bar when visiting my lady over the weekend, I was shocked to see their summer rates be as high as they were when trying to make a reservation. So, I found myself using priceline.com to look for cheaper places to stay and came across the Lemon Tree Motel. The price was attractive ($50 per night!), but the previous Yelp reviews gave me pause after making my reservation online. Imagine my surprise to see that the room was clean, the water was working, and the A/C functioned properly (especially with the weather in Pomona at 90 degrees). And, free wifi - always a plus with me! The banner over the entrance said that the motel was under new management, so perhaps these changes were implemented after the most recent Yelp review. Yet, the Lemon Tree is showing its age; the walls are a bit thin, as I heard the person next door snoring (either that, or he must snore REALLY loud). This place also is the first one I've seen where you have to pay to use the ice dispenser. And, while there is adult programming on the TV - and you can request to have it shut off at check-in - when I changed the channel, it went back to CNN (though without the audio feed). Playboy TV was still working, though, so... um, yeah. Overall, this review should be considered a 2.5, as I got a good night's sleep, and for the most part, I was comfortable. Looks like the Lemon Tree Motel will be my Plan B when planning future visits to Diamond Bar. read more

Sadly, I should have read the reviews before I booked. I just needed a place from 11pm-6am as a stop-over on my way to Palm Desert. The cigarette smell hits you the second you unlock the door. Literally permeating the room. The dark brown curtains looked 40 yrs old and would not open. The floors were tiled and as soon as we took off our shoes, our feet were black from dirt & soot! We found 2 cockroaches running around outside the bathtub and then my husband announced he was going to sleep in the car! (I had to beg him to stay) There was no furniture, no closet, nowhere to hang clothes, nor was there any nightstands next to the bed. Only a big square table under a television that got 3 channels. We slept on top of the bed on a blanket we had in our car. I went outside to check on our car several times during the night as there was some vagrant and sketchy people walking around the parking lot after midnite. In a word "disgusting!" But then again, shame on us as what do you expect for $98/nite? As the saying goes "you get what you pay for." Don't stay here even if its free!! read more

I booked this motel on Expedia last minute, a week before the event I was going to, and chose it because it was the cheapest price and the pictures of the room looked fine on the website. Those pictures were lies. This was the most ghetto, dirty, and run-down motel I have ever seen. No joke, it looked like it was straight out of a horror movie. The bathroom was yellow, the door was yellow. The sheets did not feel clean. The door didn't even close and lock all the way. The front desk clerk took 45 minutes to check us in and said the room we had booked wasn't even available. He had no idea which rooms he even had. It was so unorganized. I am so surprised that this motel is even up and running. It was falsely advertised. Everything was so janky and old. Listen to the reviews on Yelp, everything that people are saying is correct. The bed? ha...well...i sat on it and there was NO way i was gonna sleep on that horrible box of a bed. And that god awful smell!!! I called the office and they said they could change my room. Thanks but no thanks. After i walked outside and finally noticed the Zombies lingering around I new...no way was i gonna get caught up in this apocalypse! i proceeded up to the office and spoke with the "Acting Manager" Gabriel and reasoned with him for a bit. In a nutshell there was no way im paying for the room. His response...."What did you expect...its Pomona". ha My laugh then turned to disappointment when he told me absolutely no refunds. If you are ok with sleeping in a bed likely frequented by hookers and truckers and you have no problem showering in a bath tub that was probably used to cook meth, feel free to get a room here. Really, I'm not picky, but this place is the stuff of nightmares. When I booked this motel (we were going to a show at the Fairplex), I ignored the reviews stating how gross this place was. Do not repeat my mistake. Let me paint a picture for you. Outside, the parking lot was littered with rotting trash. And a lot of it. Inside, there were handprints, scuff marks, and mold all over the walls. The curtains had huge rips in them. The furniture was ripped and stained with what could only be various bodily fluids. The sinks and tubs were discolored and cracked. Saw might have been filmed in the bathroom but I can't be sure. We ended up staying on a friend's couch after the show rather than sleeping here. You definitely can't expect much from a motel. We were going to Hard Day of the Dead that weekend which was located at the Fairplex. The closest hotel was the Sheraton but it was about $350/night which i was not about to pay. One star for convenience. Luckily this hotel was the second closest hotel to the event. It was only 1.8 miles away. To me, the closer the better. Two stars for cheap pricing. Booked online with Priceline. No cancellation fees within 24 hours of reservation. I paid $85 plus taxes which equaled $93.50 for a sunday night reservation. It was quite odd that the check in time was 1:00pm which was quite an inconvenience since our event started at 11:00AM and we wanted to check in earlier so we can drop off all our stuff. I previously called ahead of time to see if we could check in earlier but the fobby asian lady on the phone said it all depends whether a customer will check out early and a room will be available. But fortunately we arrived here from San Diego later then expected but was able to check in around 12:00pm. There is a $5 cash only hold for the room key. The room key is like a USB instead of a card. You get your $5 back after returning the key upon check out. THE ROOM: Two queen size beds. Both beds were hard. Both beds had two pillows each.The pillows were super flat. The blankets are extremely thin. So DO bring your own blanket because it will get cold at night. One desk. One old shabby computer chair. One old school box tv with low quality television. One bed night stand. One lamp. One sink. One bathroom. The lighting on top of the sink is yellow and dimmed. Very low quality lighting, The bathroom was very dirty. Chipped paint. Stained walls. Dirty tub. The shower water completely soaked the shower curtains which caused water to create large puddles outside of the tub. At least the water stream was strong and the hot/cold settings were easy to use and adjust to the desired temperature. There is no hand soap. There are some complimentary soap bars, A tissue box and some clothes hangers. Overall, just your cheap place to stay for a night. Nothing more. read more

This place was disgusting. The first room they put me in was suppose to be a smoke free room but it reeked of cigarette smoke. The next room the put me in had no towels, no bath mat, no refrigerator, no toilet paper, no tissues. Tried to watch TV and the shows were full of snow so the cable sucked and the was no telephoned for me to call up front. The bathtub was grey and white like someone tried to spray paint it. All I can say is NEVER AGAIN. I got worried when I walked into the lobby and the receptionist is behind bullet proof plexiglass. We had to leave a $20 cash deposit in case we "graffitied the room". Our room was on the second floor and had to walk on an upstairs walkway made of plywood. The room had gang graffiti etched into the furniture. The nightstands had no knobs on them. There was something that looked like peanut butter on the ceiling. When we tried to check out there was no one there. We called and called and still no one. We waited about 30 minutes and left to go have breakfast. Unfortunately, we had to check out in person to get our $20 back. There was someone there when we got back from breakfast, so we were able to check out and get our deposit back. My advise is to avoid this place, unless it is your last resort. Stay far away bugs office staff is hiding behind glass I booked on a travel website the motel canceled that reservation because I didn't check in early I did call and let them know I was running late they charged me a higher rate than what was on the website booking and then after they charged my card they asked for cash on top of that when I messaged the booking site they confirmed the booking was active and they should have used that but because I had not checked in or canceled the day before the hotel could charge me full price for the booking plus fees the office staff after the booking site called then came to the room never knocked and opened the door even with the door in the locked position and the metal bar across they kicked me out after dark with no where to go and because it was valentines weekend most of the rooms in the area were over priced or booked it was a 3 day weekend and so Tuesday morning when the bank opened I had to go in and cancel my card and get a whole new one and that this is a common scam that motels do to get more money then at 1:45am I get a call from a blocked caller and they don't leave a message read more

Our room was really gross paint coming off the ceiling, ceiling fixtures hanging. There was a short in the wall outlet. Happened to me twice... No gfi outlets. The luggage rack was broken hanging. The bed frame was broken so they propped it up with wood blocks. Graffiti all over. Curtains ripped, bed was terrible. The bedding was dirty with jelly like substance on the bed spread... Carpet was absolutely filthy. Right after you stepped out of shower your feet were all dirty from the floor. Then upon check out my husband was in line 20 min before checkout and the rude guy said you know checkout is at 11. when my husband came back and told me it was 10:58 at the time. Also there was no sprinkler or fire system like hotels are suppose to have. Filter for AC was dirty husband had to clean it. Everything was broken. I mean for almost $100. a night you should take some of that money and fix up your cockroach invested dive..We will be calling and reporting you to the fire commission. They need to check all rooms not just your best one if there is such a thing. If you are going to the fair drive 10 minutes more to Ont. At least you will get a half decent room.
