I wouldn't even stay here again if it was free, unless they hire a armed security guard and I can see that they've made major improvements to the safety/security and cleanliness of the place simply because I value my safety more than I value saving money. When I got to the room, it was evident that it hadn't been cleaned since the last person or people were in there. The front window lock was missing, and there were no burglar bars or screens so somebody could easily slide the window open from outside of this ground level room and climb in, which I now suspect did in fact happen before I checked in to the room. I fixed that by putting a metal bar that I found on the ground under the window into the window track. The bathroom window was wide open and no burglar bars or screen. I closed that window and locked it. There was a cigarette butt floating in the toilet. There was a wet towel hanging on the back of the chair, and the chair was wet, and there was trash on and under the bed. There were roaches in the room. The room smelled bad like someone had been smoking tobacco in there. The TV was missing from the wall mount bracket. I went to the front desk to mention about the TV missing, and nobody would come to the front desk window. I was pretty disappointed at this point, and I assumed that a previous customer had checked into the room and either checked out early or switched rooms, but what made my experience totally unacceptable is when someone tried breaking into the room multiple times while I was in there resting, and then I heard a woman screaming in the room next door. Also, the trash can in the room was being used to catch water from a plumbing leak under the sink. I've never been in a hotel room this unacceptable before, and I've stayed in alot of hotels including but not limited to the Hyatt Grand Champions, Marriott, Hampton, Homewood Suites, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Motel 6, Comfort Inn all the way down to lower budget hotels like the Circle Inn in Riverside. I'll also never go back to the Circle Inn by the way. Also the front desk attendant at Deluxe hotel admitted during my conversation with her at checkout that she's aware that people have broken into their rooms multiple times. It was so bad that I skipped taking a shower there in the morning and just got the hell out of there quickly and never looked back. read more
